Dear Kieren, 1. Ideally, the compatibility of two persons is good: normally one common binding element is sufficent. 2. However, there are many different combinations. As you have given an example: WEAK vs WEAK i.e. weak fire vs weak water. Here, the binding element would have to be two binding elements: wood and water element: where wood is a necessity here. Dear Anthi, It is best to grow plants in a garden. In my opinion, for plants grown e.g. on the balcony, or interior of the house e.g. in an apartment/flat it would depend on the type of indoor plant. Not all outdoor or plants that require sunlight can be grown in the house. It would therefore be nice if one has an area in the flat or apartment for natural sunlight to flow and open space especially the balcony area where rain water can at times `splash' on them. For indoors, in my opinion, planting plants can be quite tedious if there is not enough sunligh. And one may often need to bring them out to sun. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Marko, 1. One would rarely if ever find Chinese lanterns with symbols of `autumn' or `winter' as symbollically these are not suitable on Red Chinese Lanterns. 2. In fact, symbolism is important in Feng Shui and you can in-fact, use the globe Chinese lanterns (with spring and summer) all year round. And change them when their colour fade-out or their material worn out. Furthermore, red is considered an auspicious colour and can be used all-round the year. Dear Tegoeh, In my opinion, Feng Shui if properly applied can help boost one's luck i.e. health, harmony and prosperity. But, I would not recommend quick fix ideas; unless one has already been `blessed' with good earth luck e.g. excellent Shapes and Form Feng Shui of the house - which can give a quantum leap in Feng Shui. This is because, a house Feng Shui would depend on various factors involving: Shapes and Form and Compass School Feng Shui. And since no two houses are the same; more information would be required. Dear Kathleen, Yes, too much light e.g. from glass walls have a negative effect. As it creates too much `Yang energy'. Unlike normal walls that can absord some of the `yang energy'; too much glass relects and bounce light causing an unbalanced effect. Ideally, renovation should be done to correct this. If this is not possible, then plants can be used to counter or absorb some of it. But if the panels of glass covers a large area, more plants may be needed (and this may not be feasible). This has been mentioned in several of the past forum messages i.e. relating to health problems. 2. In my opinion, your family members are correct to advise you to remove the fish tank at the balcony. Dear Anil, In my opinion, what you described is minor or really not much of an issue as it is felt that the movement of your personal vehicle is at low speed and unlike on a road. And would normally not cause Sha qi. Unless (I believe this is quite remote) that particular sector of the bedroom has a flying star combination of #2 with #3 (which would require `stillness' or `quietness' at that sector. Dear Patricia, If you have a bed between the bedroom door and the bedroom, you can place a side table with a table lamp. The table lamp and the side table will be symbolic of a partition between the two. Other than this, a screen can be used.
