My bedroom (attched with bathroom)in a rented condo is rather weird, had slightly protruding beam surrounding the room. It's rectangle shape, the main door at the side, and facing two big windows (two panels each), and the shorter side of the room had one bathroom door at the center. So, the bed position is either head facing towards one of the windows or the bathroom door. Ever since moving in, things are not plain sailing. Anyway planned to shift again. As for now, I am concerned of the right sleeping position. Kindly advise. Thank you.

Dear Anon, Don't worry, even in a relatively safe country like Singapore, more homes have bars installed - than not. As this is a deterent, there should not be an issue, here. Within the home, appropriate interior decor e.g. use of curtains or blinds etc... can easily off-set the ugly sight of the bars. The morale of the story? " YOU ARE NOT ALONE WITH THIS ISSUE! ". Respected Master Cecil, Please forgive if this question is redundant for you. I am new in this study and very eager to make my house a positive energy house. I am concerned about a couple of things. 1.) My house is a period 7 house (built in 1986) and has a NW3 facing position. My Kua number is 4 and my husband is 6; thus we are east and west groups. Dear Tess, Frankly, since the railway tracks are very close, it would seem that it will be part of your daily lives. It is not like closing one's eyes and wishing it away. Perhaps, the sound or vibration would be there. One may have to get used to it. The only consolation is to see where possible, if additional sound proofing could be used e.g. closing the side of windows facing the tracks or insulation or curtains, to reduce the noise. And if these homes have double 6's, they are considered still auspicious in another period. As long as no further renovation has been done after this period. Dear Joji, It is like "sucking on" a baby's comforter. If it makes one more "comfortable", it is ok to hang one. Frankly no harm from it. But don't purposely hang one the size of an ostrich egg. If it falls and hits on one's head, can sure give an amnesia. Else, one may have to place a "HARD HAT" sign for anyone passing thru it. *JOKE* Basically, any material is acceptable (SO LONG) as it is reasonably priced. Better steel if it is cheap!
