Dear Mr. Lee I was born between 27th Jan.-13th Feb 1953. So my kua no 3 and my best direction is East. Since I did not know of Feng Shui at that time, I rented a house in July 2001 till June 2003 having SW main door. Since then I am facing hardships in career, money and fortune is declining. As per the book by Lilian Too I should face East to enjoy prosperity. I was following up-isntalled an acquarium in the north, red light in the South. Today I used your Eight House Thoery, first time, chart and found that the good directions look like the bad ones. Please advice to overcome the problem and how to regain carrer and ofrtune. Regards Vj

Further to what I had mentioned, 1. Authentic Feng Shui, Chinese divinity methods and Chinese medicine, food etc.. revolves around the Five elements concept. 2. Earlier, we have seen that Ba Zi makes use of an element and it's strength. E.g. weak wood or strong wood person? There is a total difference between the two. 3. Each day can be classified into strong or weak element. E.g. strong water element. 4. Under this new resource, please go thru the reply to Question 2:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/arowanafish.htm For example, under Shapes and Forms, even the material and the design of a fountain conforms to the Five Elements concept. In some of the replies unde…

Dear Anthony, Based on your description, in my opinion: No or there is no issue here. Unless, the furniture was fixed or built against the wall and such furniture may require some force or hacking to remove them. Otherwise, it is OK. Warmest Regards, Cecil

hi cecil, just read thru' Fire-Dragon Express article on Feng Shui for Business which mentioned wood fuels fire. My kitchen in SE has white wall(metal) and very light grey(is it metal or water?)floor. Stove will line along the south wall. If Cherry wood(Wood element?)or perhaps beige tone cabinet doors and Silver(metal) coloured table top, is it tantamount to fueling fire which is already prevalent in the south sector? Due to confirm colour with carpenter on Monday.pls adv? would appreciate yr email report on the abv-mtnd for mth of Dec 02 & early Jan 03, ideally a date suitable for the whole family. Pls also adv on how to obtain yr regular updates like the recent Ba…

Dear Joanna, Mirrors are said to reflect qi. In general, usually it is not advisable for the mirror to face directly the bathroom door. The believe here is that it may reflect out what was inside the toilet. More commonly, it is ok to place it at the side of the door. E.g. when one enters the toilet, it is on the right or left side. But, I believe, you may not have a choice. Since it is usually above your wash basin. Try to close the toilet door when not in use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I have been married for 3 years and my marriage is on the rocks. During this time I met a wonderful person whom I am deeply in love with. He reciprocates my love but unfortunately doesnt seem ready to give me a commitment. Will the placing of romance cures like mandarin ducks and / or cystals in the southwest corner of the house benfit me or are those meant specifically for conjugal bliss ???

Thatk you for your answer. My building is built in 1975 - period 6 and the FS for my son's bedroom (bedroom is on the West sector)are: 4MS/8BS/8WS. In that combination is yellow carpet OK for him (weak earth person)? You said the red (fire element) is more a acceptable. I know, but how much red I have to put in his room? 33,3% of whole room, or some details will be OK? Like you see, the bedroom is on the West (metal element), Metal exhaust Earth... I have a blanket for his bed in yellow/dark-red color combination... Dark-red - is that still fire element? I am sorry to bother you, but it is very important for me. Thank you in advance, Dragana

Dear Tien Sze Thank you for attaching a sketch of your room. Please see below:- It is best to avoid placing wind chimes at sectors that are considered `too yin'. In Flying Star, its numerology can share light to whether it is yin at certain sectors. The two most problematic sectors are: North-East (Devils gate) and South-West (Devil's back door). Where possible try to avoid (be careful) it at these two sectors and also at West. 1. Feng Shui is about priority and sensibility (commonsense). 2. I am sad to say that, recently, some people who called me enquiring on Feng Shui audit asked me whether, I would recommend placement of beds at `weird' or odd locations. …

Dear Sue, Please see below:- Yes, the extra utility room should be included. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, if you house was built prior to 1984, and with this extra utiltiy room built after 1984 and renovations done at the exterior facade, the birth chart of your 3i flat should now be changed to Period 7 (1984 onwards). The above is for info, if you are using Flying Star Feng Shui. Based on Eight House Feng Shui, there is not much one can change the above base on this concept. One the house has been purchased, nothing can change this aspect of Eight House theory. This theory can tell how suitable a house is to the owners but it has its limitations. Usually, it is …

Further to what I mentioned, for the House Number for apartments or known as Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui, it is best to note the following: 1. In numerology, there are so many different methods of interpretation. 2. The best use of this House Number for apartments report is basically in chosing apartments within the same block. For example, if it is a new development. And if several floors are still available within the same block. If units #03-xxx, #05-xxx or #12-xxx are still available. Then one can use this report to check which apartment is a better choice. Other than this, as mentioned earlier, there are lots of interpretation and methodology of numerology. And di…

Dear Wendy, 1. Have you done the flooring yet? If not, you can add a little protrusion where the floor tile radiates in a semi-circle. I have added this info in the forum recently. 2. The resource is available under the conference: Info: Feng Shui Tips & guidelines. The posting is: 'Protective' Main Entrance Floor tile. Or do a SEARCH in this forum for Main Entrance Floor tile. 3. In addition, if the sharp pointed pillar is in your home, is it possible to e.g. grow a creeping plant on it. 4. The next best alternative is check what this pointed pillar is made of? 5. If it is made of wood, then, you can place a 6 rod metal wind chime directly facing it. 6. If it is m…

Dear Anon, Some of the major considerations in the placement of an altar are: 1. It must not face a dining table. The rationale here is that, it would be considered disrespectful to eat in front of Guan Yin. Imagine the god salivating while one is eating. 2. It must not be placed on the same wall as the toilet (especially the toilet bowl). 3. Try not to face into a bedroom. This is considered unclean (looking into bedroom[s]/ 4. Where possible the figurine should not be facing the main door. We do not want to the god to be the security guard. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Diane, Since you do not use the main entrance, this should be ok. But if you are using the carpark entrance, try to relate the qi flow from this into the house. Is it possible for you to provide a sketch, for a better understanding of the situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Emily, Frankly, wearing a pendant is not a norm in our culture. But many Toaist purchase a clear crystal bracelet and a set of string for `protection' This has nothing to do with Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Analia, 1. For a Period 7 house, or homes built between 1984 and 2003, this Lunar year is quite interesting. This is because the Year Flying Star numbers are the same as the 20-Year Flying Star numbers. For example, in most Period 7 homes, the East sector has a base number of #5, and this year’s flying star for the East is also #5. 2. Likewise, in every other sector, the base number matches the year’s chart. This means that, based on just these two influences, each sector can naturally be very beneficial or potentially problematic. For instance, since the East sector has a constant pair of #5s (often associated with misfortune or sickness), and considerin…

Dear Ai Ling, In my opinion, this is not so bad as compared to two equal mirrors that totally `split' a person into two. So far, I have yet to come across any major problems with what you had mentioned. Warmest Regards, Cecil

House is in very good condition, just appraised for 160,000. I am weak water and try to enhance and make stronger, could I have inadvertely added to much water? Things in this house relating to water can be fixed by a professional and not long after they break again, just wondering what underlying situation is causing all this. thanks so much, I know my questions can sometimes seem silly, I appreciate your advice.

I have a similar problem. My best direction is east (3), but there is not really enough room in the bedroom to do this (leaves only about 15 inches to walk at the foot of the bed). Room is n-s longest, but window is on north, where head of bed would go; master bath is on south wall; built in closet on west wall. How do I remedy north head of bed? Or should I just remedy the small walking space at the foot of the bed, with head of the bed east instead?

Dear Max, Usually, there is no issue of a wooden door (stained in any of the wood grain colour i.e. walnut, rosewood, teak etc...) But if the main entrance is under some threat, then it would depend on what type of threat. Since there are so many different types of threat, it is difficult to give you all the answers. But, here, it is best to determine what element the threat comes from. And use a controlling element to control it. (If possible). Warmest Regards, Cecil
