Dear Marie, Frankly these are text-book examples of Feng Shui. Symbolically, 3-coins represent: 1. The number 3: represents the wood element. 2. The metal coins: literally mean metal element. Under the destructive cycle of the Five element concept: Metal destroys wood element to create `wealth'. Go around Feng Shui emporiums espeically internet Feng Shui stores and one will find lots of excuse to try to sell as many of these as possible. One may thus end up: Placing this three-coins under the floor mat, inside the ledger book, inside the cash register, inside one's wallet. Perhaps, the Feng Shui emporiums are laughing to the bank! One question asked: Since carrying the 3-…

Further to what I mentioned earlier, attached please find an illustration (top-view) of the placement of a water position. For the water positon:- 1. Best to avoid ambiguous objects such as a fish with an open mouth and or a frog with an open mouth facing inwards of such a house. Here, this is inauspicious since, such open mouths implies a `hungry fish or frog' that sucks in your already depleted wealth leading to ultimate calamity. 2. If possible, the water feature should have all five elements if possible:- Metal element: circular bowl represents the metal element or a circular ball spouting out water Water element: Needless to say, this is the actual water used in the…

Dear Anon, Yes, what you had described seems OK. For example, when you stand outside the main door facing into the house, one should not see the dining table. In fact, my home faced this same situation as what you have mentioned:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Marcia, Try to do a SEARCH using the Search feature under this forum. You can find the various alternatives to neutralise a beam. For example, I just did a SEARCH in this forum and the first two searchs show this two links:- 1 Photo Tours of Interest (with Pictures) Another alternative: bamboo flute 9/3/2002 2 Photo Tours of Interest (with Pictures) Another alternative: bamboo flute 9/3/2002 If your beam is made of concrete, the above can show you how to neutralise it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Peck Wun Please see below:- Last month, while doing a house audit, I noticed that my client also stayed at a long corridor. In addition to this, my client's house is also at a long corridor. Please refer to the attached illustration file. In this file you can notice that from inside the house, one can see a neighbour's directional sign (with an arrowhead) slicing thru the main door. This is indeed a threat to my client's house. With such a threat, one has no choice but to use a Ba Gua mirror to neutralise such a threat. Unless, one can speak nicely to the neighbour and hopefully, they take down this threat. Else, one needs to neutralise it. In public housing, …

Dear Anon, Water positions are often determined based on: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 2. Flying Star Feng Shui where metal elements e.g. #7 or #6 are present In one or both of such situations, a sector may be enhanced with water e.g. water fountain etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Melissa, 1. Many people would encounter the same problem that you have faced. Especially if one partner is an East House while the other is a West House person. 2. If one is currently finding a new house, then look at the intangible force affecting each spouse at the main entrance and their bedroom. Go for smoother combinations e.g.: Prosperity vs Irritation or other such combinations as opposed to combinations such as: Longevity vs death or disaster. Under Ba Zi Feng Shui, one should consider `binding elements' or elements that can help bind both partners. For example, Strong Metal person vs Weak Earth person, one should use a binding element e.g. Fire element. War…

Dear Anon, When planting plants or trees avoid having the tree trunk slicing into the house. If so, it may become a threat. In all my audit rounds, if the bedrooms are at the west and affected by direct sunlight, the interior layout especially the position of the bed and even the study table should be carefully looked at both from Feng Shui and commonsense approach. Locally, it can be quite hot especially if the bedroom is in direct contact of the sun eg. west. And it is the brickwall, one can even (if one places one's hand) next to this wall, feel the heat as much as 3 or more hours after sunset. Thus, if one were to place a bed parallel to the wall, the person sleeping …

Dear Gordon, In my opinion, I have seen yin and yang symbol tattooed before on a body. Basically, there should not be any issue with it being tattooed other than on e.g. private parts or locations like battock or the bottom of the feet. Should therefore, tattooed in appropriate locations e.g. arm ... The yin and yang symbol is in total, comprise a wide field much like the Swastica symbol used by Buddhist on Buddha. (Unfortunately, the Germany Nazi SS copied and used this symbol also). Therefore, the yin-yang symbol unlike the Ba Gua symbol as shown under the url: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-pakua.htm In particular, the First Heaven Sequence Ba Gua trigr…

Dear Anon, 1. Thanks for your sketch of your plot of land. 2. Overall, your plot is not a `worst case' senario. Frankly, it is quite common to find such a layout plan. And in many situations, there should not be an issue here. Provided, here is no canal or large drain at the back of the house. Planting trees behind the house is a consideration. 3. Another approach done is shown in a rough sketch - attached to this message. It shows a semi-circular profile radiating outwards of the house. 4. First of all, this may not be applicable to most houses as it implies e.g. planting trees in a semi-arch along the `yellow' boundary of the house. Impratical as it may sound (because…

Dear Wasis, Here are some important points with regards to a pair of lions:- 1. Usually Feng Shui practitioners advise the use of lions - if it is for the home, at an inauspicious sector of the house. 2. Where possible the lions should face outwards of the house. 3. Lions placed in the house should not look too fierce or ferocious. They should look `peaceful' and happy. If they look fierce. They must never have their mouths face inside of the house. 4. Lions are used for:- 4.1 Either to ward off evil and /or 4.2 to bring in good luck into the house. 5. The common form of a pair of lions are made of stone. While those made of wood as what you have are often seen on roofs …

Hello, I too would like to know about my bed placement. I just bought a new house and would like to send you the floor plans. I was wondering how I would do that? I'm going to be moving next year to my new home, and I just found out that it's my year of the pig. I was told I should not move into my new Home next yr. I just don't have any other means of doing that earlier than next yr. But I would love for you to tell me if my bedroom is a good place for me. Thank you so much.

Hi Cecil, Good morning. Would like to seek some advice on the following issues: 1) House number: Sty #05 and Unit number 314. Hence when read together, it appear to be 5314. In Cantonese, the essence read turns out to be bad meaning. Pls. advice whether is there a remedy to enhance it. I also suspect that my present infertility condition may be due to the bad meaning of the unit number. 2) I was told by some of the colleagues that wedding photo should not place on top of the bed head board. This will cause conflict & argument with the spouse/partner. Is it true? 3) Is there any feng shui tips/object that could be placed in my bedroom to enhance the chances of having t…

Dear Linda, In my opinion, if the plum color looks more like bright orange or metal element, then, it is still acceptable given that your main door is at the South. Frankly, I am not too sure from your description whether plum color looks more like `gold color'. But if the color you mentioned represents gold color, then, gold or metal element is acceptable at the South (fire element sector). As metal (gold or white) is controlled by fire element. An acceptable combination under the 5 elements concept. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. If there is a straight path between the main door to the back e.g. window / balcony or door; then, it is best to use an `air-tight' screen/partition or divider. 2. The divider can be built e.g. bottom portion housing some cabinets and the top half can be e.g. a glass screen or display shelf. attached to each other, with 3. Yes, the above is acceptable, so long as it helps to divert qi or allows qi to meander around the screen into the house. Rather than directly flowing out or `leaking' out of the house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Andrew, 1. Five metres is in a very close proximity. 2. Yes, currently I believe, from your second floor, there is an obstructed view or clear space. 3. But if a new condominium development, perhpas, you may not have clear space (at your frontage anymore). 4. However, you mentioned that there is suppose to be a water position at the front (after the development). If this is the case, then, you should usually have clear space. 5. What type of water fountain will there be? If it is a circular fountain, you can still benefit from it. But if it is a wall-type of fountain where the wall is facing you and water falls into this wall, then, this type of fountain may not be…

Dear Rosita, In my opinion, usually, there are more to it than just by coincidence that the bathroom is located at your romance sector. Do try to check for any `leaks' in your home. Applying first, Shapes and Forms and doing an Eight House chart to see what are the intangible forces. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Natalie, There must be a leak in your new home. Try to apply Shapes and Forms Feng Shui first. Looke out of your main door and windows to find any poision arrows (if any). In addition, check the poistion of your toilet and other Shapes and Forms of your home. You can also use the free Eight House report (sitting position and sleeping position) at www.geomancy.net to find out more about suitable rooms, first. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil Thank you so much for your quick reply. I may have given you the wrong information by attaching a 9-grid chart earlier. In fact, if measuing the main door from the centrepoint of the house, it is still within the NE section. I am attaching a sketch of pie chart for your reference. Based on your earlier reply, if my main door is at East sector, will I still be using the NE flying star chart? Sorry I am indeed very confused. Thanks for your kind advice, I have based on your advice to check on the house leaks. Please refer to my sketch. Are they consider a leak if the main door is opening to a see-through glass wall but not window? What about the mirror in the liv…

Dear Jeffery, Yes, since there is no possibility of changing to different directions, you have no choice anymore in using this theory. Feng Shui is about improving luck. You should instead try to improve luck in your home. As home has a higher influence over you. Try to apply or look at any `leaks' in your home and fix them. Warmest Regards, Cecil
