Dear Master Cecil: I tried the tool provided by the geomancy.net to take a look at the flying star of my house and found that 2, 3, and 5 are at my main entrance. Those are the worst combination of numbers, is it right? What should I do? Sell my house and move? I am very worried. Please help. Regards, Jen

Dear Master Cecil, I read that when building a house, one way to get rid of bad chi from toilets is to paint the tip of drains of the toilets red before the toilets are installed. Is is a good idea?

I have read that having a staircase in front of the main entry is not good. Does this mean the steps should not face the main door and/or the staircase should not be positioned directly in front of the main door. We are considering a home with the entry opening into a spacious foyer. However, the the curving staircase is positioned in front of the main entry with the steps facing slightly offset and away from the main entry. The main entry points towards the the steps. The face of the steps is approximately a 45 degrees offset to main entry and point towards a wall next to the main entry. How would this layout be interpreted. Thank you.

Warmest regards Mater Lee and many thanks for your previous advise. Today I am struggling with the placement of the Dining Room. Both my husband and myself are SouthEast facing and if I follow the eight houses theory I would be best to place the Dining Room in East/Longevity or South/Health position. My confusion is that the front door would occupy SE and it is not good to put the dining table in a position beside the door. Dear Master Lee: I am living in a 5 room flat. We have two bath rooms in our house. One is near the dinning hall & the other is in our Master bed room. My queries are pertaining to the bath room near the dinning hall. 1) The design is that this outside bath room has got two opening folding doors which allow us to walk thru' from service balcony to the long corridor leading to the master bed room & vis versa. Whenever we need to use this bath room, we need to close both sides of the door. We are moving into a leased house. According to the analysis from this site, I am an east person and my husband is a west person. Dear Cecil, About 5 months after moving to his new house, my uncle got an accident last week. Today, I visited him. After seeing his house, I suspect something wrong with the house. He was born on 1942 (Horse year). The house sits on West. I think the ceiling is a coffered one. Although I am not so sure. His stove is located at the hallway and faces West. His house has 2 straight paths. But I have told him to install some screen dividers. One of the toilets is looking outward to the garage door. These are the remedies I suggest: 1. Hi , I am new to Fengshui...and need your valuable advice for the work position. I sit in the cubicle of four corners and right now i am the only one in the cubicle. The entrance to the cubicle is from the south-west direction and my back is at the north direction with me facing the computer in south direction. The toilet of the office is placed just 5 steps away from me in the south-east direction. I am confused a lot, as if i move towards north or North-West side, I will be facing back to my cubicle entrance.
