However, a fixed platform bed is a little different, as it cannot be moved easily, and this makes it difficult to vacuum or even mop the floor underneath where the platform bed stands.

This has more to do with common sense... It is nice to have the air-con facing the side of the bed, rather than blowing directly at our face. Ideally, if we can, let the air-con face sideways so that it blows towards the body instead. This is especially important when we use medium to high settings, as the airflow can affect our breathing and it is not so good to have it blowing straight into our face.
