Dear All, 1. This concept is much like the use of a semi-circular floor mat radiating outwards of the house. 2. There is another floor tile concept, which I will share with you later on. But do look at this illustration. 3. In this illustration, imagine, standing at the front door looking outwards. If you have not yet done any renovation to your flooring or perhaps, are considering renovating your floor tiles, you may consider using this profile. 4. This profile - or a semi-circular protusion of your floor tile from the front door is akin to or similar in `protection' afforded by using a semi-circular carpet radiating outwards. 5. In fact, this is advantages if you have t…

Question 1: "We intend to place a full length mirror at the living room and walk in wardrobe, attach file with our proposed location which need your advice" Question 2: . Any problem if we install ceiling fan in every room? 1. No issue with the full length mirror in the walk-in wardrope area in the master. 2. Less than ideal to have a full length mirror on that side of the wall sharing with the main door: this is because such a mirror faces the dining table and perhaps the existing sink area: "Are you able to keep the dining table (area) neat and tidy? If not, most likely, you can see the entire dining table from this mirror. …

Case Study 1. Contemporary application of Feng Shui in the present day. 1. Utilize this checklist to inquire about the specific concepts that your prospective Feng Shui Master (FSM) will employ to assess your residence. 2. A new customer recently presented me with the audit report of her previous FSM's evaluation of her house. 3. The FSM simply took an existing copy of the house layout and examined the final result. Location: Bedok Reservoir Village, Block 744 Bedok Reservoir Road, August 2012 1. Key: filth; disgustingly dirty 2. Today, I visited a coffee shop on Bedok Reservoir Road. 3. To access the toilet, you had to pass through a set of curtain screens. 4. I noticed that these two curtain screens looked very dirty. 5. These curtains can collect some of the most unpleasant germs. 6. The idea that people have to touch them is alarming! If your face happened to brush against them, the protective oil on your skin could be affected. 6.1. Just look at the fabric—so filthy. Yuck! 7. Even our computer keyboard is quite dirty; think of …

Case Study: Can I convert my yard WC into a store room? 1. The yard WC as highlighted in yellow:- 2. Frankly, no issue if one wants to convert this yard WC into a store room. 2.1. Generally it is considered a plus if the WC is beside the main entrance. As often the main entrance is in some instances critical to the Feng Shui of the home. 2.2. The concern is how the WC hole has been covered up. 2.2.1. For example, the correct way is to cap the WC hole as shown similar to this:- 2.2.2. Even if the capping is lower, this cap will still protude above the floor. 2.2.3. Thus if this is so, the floor has to be raised to make the new toile…

Frankly this has more to do with common sense. What if the items on the display shelf falls onto one’s vulnerable head and eyes? Worse! If it falls onto an innocent infant. Infant’s skull are not yet hardened! A degree in common sense is free. 70% of non-concept Feng Shui is steep in common sense. It is simply a matter of putting on one's thinking cap and ask ourselves this question: "Has this anything to do with PURE common sense?

This advice falls under the category of a Practical Feng Shui Approach. Question: Is it auspicious to place the dinning table facing the main entrance door? 1. Frequently, in numerous households in Singapore, as well as in many other households worldwide, it is common for individuals to place food, bread, utensils such as forks and knives, and other food items on the dining table. Take, for instance, a family of five consisting of a husband, wife, and three children. Typically, the wife, who is often the homemaker, will prepare the meals and set them on the dining table in a small home. The three children may arrive home earlier and have their dinner…

Case Study: Make sure to get your Agent to obtain the block layout plan to identify where the common bin is located. 1. In this sample illustration (See below) 2. See how the developer had described it as: "For Internal Circulation Only". 3. Implying perhaps that if one is not smart enough to ask, only during key collection, then perhaps stack #02 will find out that the common bin is the closest to their unit. 4. Fortunately although it is just two utility rooms away from the door. 4.1. Nevertheless, cross-fingers that a future potential buyer might not try to avoid or perhaps low-ball the sale... 4.2. Worse, if the potential buyer brin…

Food for Thought: Vinyl Floor tiles for homes: Is it safe? Any side-effects (if any?) These are some considerations: 1. Earlier today, my client was examining the Feng Shui of their new residence. 1.1 The floor tiles in their HDB flat are uncovered. She disclosed that she works as a scientist and expressed her worries to me. 1.2 Except for the kitchen and toilets, her husband wants the entire house to be covered with vinyl tiles. 2. Nevertheless, she has recently conducted research on plastics, including melamine plastic plates, milk bottles, and even vinyl tiles Right: Does not matter if boy or girl...baby or toddler.. 3. She mentioned …

The Customer Engineer Paradigm This is based. On pure common sense. What is the " Customer Engineer " Concept? Here, if one is making an enhancement or "trying" out a cure without professional help, it is adviseable to do it a step at a time. For example, when an IBM Customer Engineer tries to resolve a problem, he takes out what he feels is a faulty `card'. He monitors the situation for a few days to a week and if the problem has been solved, this is ok. If not, he replaces another card and monitors again. Similiarly, if you are doing some enhancements on your own, avoid doing all at the same time. For example, do not enhance the garden, a certain …

Damaged tile flooring is rarely seen in residential interiors such as living rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms. However, during the 1980s, some local homes used broken marble tiles that were filled and sealed with epoxy, usually in shades of white, cream, or light pink. While Feng Shui does not specifically address this issue, the field of symbolism offers additional insight. Some people associate the word “broken” with negative meanings. In contrast, no one would consider evenly laid rectangular tiles undesirable, as this is the standard way tiles are installed. Nevertheless, the herringbone pattern for floor tiles can make some people feel uneasy because of its sha…

Location: Corner Indian eatery at Serangoon Gardens (by the way they individually make fresh one of the best pratas around) The concrete beam you see in the photo is considered load bearing beam. But do take note that the rest of the brown wooden planks that were mounted onto the ceiling are non-load bearing beams. However, some has a misunderstanding that the planks are beams - which is in theory not true at all.

Common sense and a table Sometimes it is best to avoid having a table with just one-leg. This has more to do with common sense. And centre-of-gravity. For example, can a child or person leaning on the side/edge of the table make it topple down? With four legs, this can never happen to a table. But look at the photo.... seems "scary" right?

Exception Principle in Feng Shui @Forum.Geomancy.net 1. This forum focus on significant deviations from the ordinary layouts and enviromental conditions. These are brought to the attention of the potential stakeholder's consideration and decision. 2. Please don't expect the sky and the moon for a review of each and every single stack/unit in a development. 2.1. Please understand that there are just too many developments and this is multiplied by each development having lots of stacks & units. 2.2. Furthermore, many come in to the forum to understand concepts. They are not interested in a unit in a tiny red-dot country. So please cut-the-case.. do…
