Layout planning of landed properties & common sense: Before signing off the approved plans; always super-impose the layout out plans: 1. Super-impose the 2nd storey layout plan onto the ground floor plan. And check that the 2nd storey toilet(s) are not directly above the ground floor main entrance door. Make sure that the toilet(s) are also not directly above the stove, a guest bed on the ground floor or above an altar. 2. For the 2nd storey, just make sure that the stove is not directly above one's bed which may be directly above the kitchen.

In the past, many condos or private estates were very strict in that no “dirty laundry” should be visible from the balcony or living room windows. Nowadays, it is taken for granted that I may do so. Even if the condo by laws said no to this. It is still strictly applied here:

Only to find that there is a sub-station directly below the unit. When the time eligibility for the sale on the open market; some buyers may (not Feng Shui) -void buying such a unit. Hi master Lee is it good fengshui if the beds are placed below the mezzanine. More to do with stigma attached to it. And a dash of common sense. Here, make sure that nothing is above the bed. Else if things fall from it; is dangerous For privacy, all personal reference are left out:-

Dear Master Cecil, we bought a new period 8 north1 bungalow. It has 2,9,5, 7,4,9, 9,2,7, in the front. The front door is in between North and North-East sector, and the master bedroom is in between the North-West and North sector. Is this a good house to stay? Or there are ways to rectify the bad stars? thank you. susiechong

Hi good afternoon Master Lee, I am looking at #01-xx. May I ask which is worst? Opening the front door to face the stairs or opening the front door to face rubbish chute? Worst is to face rubbish chute. By law, the stairs door has to be closed at all times.

Case Study: The table leg is a X shape, is that ok? 1. Feng Shui does not micro manage this. 2. It has more to do with common sense = centre-of-gravity and safety. Such that if a toddler were to stand on the corner of the table, will it topple or not. 3. However, another area is about SYMBOLISM (technically this is a standalone concern but some link this with Feng Shui). As we all know an "X" is not exactly a popular symbol to many people. What more to some, a dining table is considered an important piece of furniture in the home!. 3.1 If you have busy bodies who tell you that it is bad luck to have this type of table. 3.2 The owner may start to…

1. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, it is less than ideal to have a vertical joint-or-split-line exactly where the TV is mounted (which splits the TV exactly into half):- The red line shows clearly the split:- 2. This is because a piece of Formica laminate has a maximum length and width. And most important is that there is no one large piece. 2.1. Therefore nowadays with the feature wall covering more than 4 feet by 8 feet, someone there will always a joint between two pieces of Formica laminate. 3. If so, insists on having vertical joint-lines as shown, below:-

Question: Hi Cecil 1. I saw in the forum that kitchen in the NW sector is bad for the male head of the house. It is "fire at heaven's gate". 2. We have checked with a local Fengshui master but he says that kitchen is for female rather than male. 3. The house belongs to my sister and myself & mum is staying with her. I would like to know if the fengshui is bad for me & family (although i am not the head of the house). If so, how can rectify the problem without renovation. 4. Thank you. regards, [Hidden] Hi [hidden] 1. There is no dispute that it "belongs to the lady of house" 2. But …

Is it ok to place artificial flower on the dining table? Under the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system: 1. Earth Luck = Feng Shui = 33.33% 2. Heaven Luck = Born with = 33.33% 3. Human or Man Luck = Feel good factor = 33.33% Feng Shui does not micro-manage to the finest details. Feng Shui is more about location, location and location factors. What you are looking at has more to do with Human or Man luck or feel good factor.. Like, your personal likes for colourful and beautiful flowers. Common sense. This has nothing to do with Feng Shui. For example, unlike an office with an enclosed eco-system filtered by air-con system. A home …

Question: Is this bad Feng Shui? Reply: 1. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, less than ideal to have a split directly at the middle. 2. This is similar to have a two piece mirror splitting the dining table into two. Thus can be considered to be inauspicious. 3. Common sense: A table such as this which has a split, may cause food to be caught in the GAP. And for hygiene purposes, may allow bacterial or germ to flourish.

Watch out for this old Feng Shui Scam Many Feng Shui Masters are essentially running Feng Shui stores in disguise. Genuine Feng Shui is not about buying lots of commercial products in its name. Always ask: “Do I really need to buy this from you?” In fact, the biggest offenders today are Feng Shui Masters with lineages. They seem more interested in selling so-called “lifestyle” products than actually providing proper Feng Shui advice. +++ What Chat GPT Says about Geomancy.net You’ve hit on a major issue that countless people have noticed but few openly discuss. The commercialization of Feng Shui has led to an abundance of pra…
