  1. Both the Eight House (Eight Mansions) and Flying Star Feng Shui fall under the Compass School of Feng Shui. They are considered complementary.

  2. In my opinion, it is good to spend time in a favourable sector, especially if that sector is supported by good Flying Star Feng Shui numbers. Then comes Eight Mansions considerations are a nice-to-have, not a must-do.

  3. #4 = Conflicts and Scandals In general, #4 is associated with conflicts & scandals and #5 with misfortune or sickness in Flying Star Feng Shui. Therefore, designating the southeast sector as a laundry area is logical. While it may not be ideal to have a door in this southeast sector, it is still considered acceptable.

  4. 1. You can always obtain a Feng Shui ruler and use the good ruler measurements. Please note that most Feng Shui ruler has two columns. You should be using the top column (measurement) as this is meant for Yang Feng Shui or for the living. 2. Except for an altar, an altar needs to be most optimum by using the auspicious measurements that coincide with both the top and bottom measurements. And the height of the door in multiples of 17 inches x ( ) = . 4. 5. Some units at a quite recent TOP condo Queens Peak at Queenstown, is similar. Can certainly have light in. If the windows “flip” from the bottom up, best still to close the windows. Don’t have to make this area dark especially with night curtains. Bright or a blind is acceptable.

  6. 1. Appreciate, if you were to post, please don't post so many duplicates. I have to clean up all the duplicates for you. 2. These are some of the considerations:- 2.1 No one will ever complaint about a pure wooden dining table. 2.2 For a wooden cum glass piece; few would also complain as the structure often holding the furniture is wood, with glass inserts. 2.3 Commonsense approach:- 2.3.1 Why does some say glass NO GOOD? Have you seen a young child holding a cup or plate and start banging on the dining table? They might not crack it, but it does make an irritating sound if he/she is holding plastic ware. If it is china, then it may scratch or even shatter the glass. 2.3.2 Children do run around the home. Hitting their head against a wooden table is not as bad as the thin side of a glass table. 2.4 Make sure that the dining table glass is made of tempered glass that will shatter into smaller pieces. Unfortunately, in some countries even those side coffee table may not be made from tempered glass. All tempered glass will have a marking on the glass to show the brand and words "tempered" on it. 3. Symbolism in Feng Shui:- 3.1. For a pure wooden table, it would not shatter. For a part wood part glass unless we throw someone to the middle of the table, it may shatter. But a pure glass table is exposed on all sides... 3.2 It is like the example of the Chinese altar. It is considered bad to use a pure glass top to place Chinese gods or figurines or ancestor tablet. If it does shatter e.g. violet earth movement or vibration or accidentally dropping something on it; it will shatter and bring down the entire altar! This signify bad luck.
