Hi. I'm new to this forum but not new to Traditional Chinese Feng Shui, however I'd call myself a beginner. I have a basic question that I think I know the answer to, but would really like a second opinion. I'm looking at buying a lot to build a house on. My husband and I both have Kan birthdays. Since this house would be built in the current 8 period, I believe the best direction for the house to face is the NW between 307.5 and 322.5 degrees....Xun. (Please correct me if I am wrong on this point.) The lot we are currently looking at is located in what, years ago, was open grazing land in a mountainous area. The lotslopes moderately steeply from the road at the upper side which is in the SE. About half way down the slope there are a grove of trees where the land is still sloping but not quite as much, then (still sloping downward) it opens, or could open if a few trees were cut or topped, to a long range mountain and valley view. Absolutely gorgeous! If the house is located closer to the upper SE part of the lot with the front of the house and the front door looking toward the SE and the back of the house looking toward the NE, which side would be considered FACING? I am inclined to say that because the land slopes fairly steeply that the side of the house looking to the NW view side would be Facing and the upper side looking to the SE where the front door would be located is actually Sitting. Please, a second opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Tigger's Mom
