  1. Dear Master Cecil: My youngest brother wants to buy a house on a new cul-de-sac development. I told him that houses on cul-de-sac are bad luck. But he ispretty determined aboutbuyinga house heresince theyall back up to a green belt/open space or the mountain view. Thisis his first house, and I don't want him to get any bad luck. I've researchedquestions/answers about houses on culdesac on this website, and learned that depending on where the house is located on the culdesac, it can be bad. I'm attaching the sketch of the 12 new houses to be built on this cul-de-sac street. Would you kindly tell me which house/houses will be affected by the "sha qui"?
  2. Dear Master Cecil: Thank you so much for responding so quickly. I have one more question that I forgot to ask you last time. Our basement is unfinished right now. But since our oldest son is getting older and my wife thinks he needs to have his own bedroom. We're thinking of finishing the basement and adding new plumbing, so we'll have a bedroom and a bathroomin the basement. Will thischange move the house flying star to P8? With respect, AC
  3. Dear Cecil, Thank you very much for responding so quickly to my question. My concern is somehow through renovation, my house's flying star will move to P8 and I don't want it to move to P8. My house facing is SW1 which is very good under P7, but very bad under P8. Since it was built in 1983, there will be renovations needed during the next 20 years. In 2001, we replaced the roof and repainted the outside of the house, and that moved it from P6to P7 which was a good move. Within the next few years, we need to replace the carpet on the second level, resurface the wood floor on the main level, replace the kitchen appliances, repaint the inside of the house etc... Willall of this renovations move the house's flying star to P8? Very respectfully yours, AC
  4. Dear Cecil: First I want to thank you very much for your speedy response to my previous question. According to your response to one member, you said it's not auspicious to have bathroom in the frontage of the house and it's considered a "leak". Well, our house has the half-bathroom in the front of the house too. It's not right next to the front door, there is 2.5 feet of wall between the front door and the half-bathroom door (please see attached file). Anyhow, it's in the frontage of the house. Since we don't use it much and its door is closed most of the time, and nowI learn that it's not good to have a frontage bathroom,I'm thinking about turning it into a sewing room for my wife. Will this change alter the luck of the feng shui for our house? Secondly, will it also change the period of the house? Respectfully yours, AC
  5. Dear Masters Robert/Cecil Lee: Thank you very muchfor your speedy response. My townhouse had the entire roof replaced and the outside walls repainted by the Home Owners Association in 2001 so it would be qualified forP7. The NE sector of my house is my living room where I spend a lot of time after work to relax (reading, watching the news, a movieetc...). It also has abig brick fireplace. The flying star chart for it is 7 (ms),1 (base),7 (ws), 8 (yearly). Since it has a double 7 in P7 with a good base star 1 so I consider the sector is a good sector. I'm concerned about the fireplace here since fire destroys metal, so is theauspiciousness of double 7s destroyed by the fireplace? If so, what can I do to preserve the double 7s since I spend a lot of time here? With great respect, AC
  6. Dear Master Cecil Lee: Thank you very much for your speedy response. I'm confused that you suggest to take two flying star charts (p6 and p7) for my house. The SW main door in P6 shows a bad feng shui house since it has mountain star 3 (bad), base star 3 (bad), year star 2 (bad), and water star 6 (the only good star). 3 bad stars vs 1 good star. The SW main door in P7seems to beaBETTER feng shui house since it has mountain star 4 (neutral), base star 4 (neutral), year star 2 (bad), and water star 1 (good star).Only one bad star here. Does the flying star chart for P7 take precedent then? and should I just ignore all the bad stars at the main door in P6? Respectfully yours, AC
  7. Dear Master Cecil Lee: First Iwant to thank you forhaving such a wonderful and informativewebsite. All the free learning resourcesand forumsare extremely helpfulto anovice like me. I'm new to geomancy andhave researched your responses to the readers as much as I can, but still can't find the answer to my question. I live in a townhouse, which faces SW1 (if I stand in front of the house with a compass in my hand). From the center of the house to the front door, it's SE3. I'm an East person with SE as my excellent direction and SW as my spook direction. So if I want to run a flying star report on my townhouse, which direction should I choose, SE or SW as the main door? This townhouse was built in 1983, but in 2001, we had the whole roof replaced, the outside of the house repainted. In 2000, we replaced the linoleum in the kitchen and the bathrooms with tiles. In 2002, we replaced the carpet in the dining room and the hallways with tiles. So is this townhouse a period 6 or period 7 house? With great respect, A.C.
