  1. Hello - we just bought a landed property home that has an odd shape due to the attached garage and had a few questions: 1. How do I find the exact center of the house to determine the direction of the front door? I could use the main front door, or use an alternate door through the garage. I've read in previous forum messages, but still a bit confused. I've attached a picture of the house along that shows the compass direction, main entrance and alternate entrance. 2. By my calculations, it looks as if the front entry of the home is either North-west, West or South-West which are inauspicious directions to my profile. What would be the best way to remedy this? Your help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Steven
  2. Hello... I belong to the four East group as a Wood element. The house is in it's 5th period and is NW facing, with the main door from the interior that has the 337.4 and 337.5 degree lines of disaster and prosperity line going through it. What are my options to try and remedy the disaster line? Also, my angle of influence for prosperity encompasses the kitchen. I've been told this was not good. How can I remedy this as well? Your advice is always appreciated. Many regards, Steven
  3. Hello, We are still looking for that right house and again come across a house that we liked but there's always something that could be wrong with it based on Feng Shui. We just saw a house that had extremely large Redwood trees right next to the house. There were two next to the garage, and two next to the wall of the master bedroom. There were a row of a few redwoods in the backyard as well. I have heard so many different stories regarding trees immediately next to the house. One theory is that it will draw "water" and "energy" from the house making it bad. But others have said trees are good. I've included a picture of the two redwoods that are next to the garage. For the two trees next to the master bedroom, the distance from the exterior wall of the house to the redwood is similar to those in the picture. As always, i look forward to your advice as it has been extremely helpful.
  4. Thank you Master Lee. One follow up question, would I do the same for the family room that was not included in the determining the centre pointe of the home?
  5. Hello, Thank you so very much for your past help. It has been most helpful and I call upon for your advice once more. I am currently interested in a house. My ideal main door should be facing SE, but can also face N, E, and S. The home is a two story, built in 2002, and faces directly E. I've attached a floor plan and picture of the front of the house as reference. My questions are as follows: 1. Due to the unique floorplan, the extension of the garage, master bathroom, and the courtyard, I am not quite sure how I can determine the actual center of the home. 2. Also, there is a large decorative water fountain directly in front of the main door in the courtyard. I've denoted this on the floor plan as a grey circle. Is this bad feng shui? Your help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance. Many regards, Steven
  6. Appended by Cecil: Sorry did not see the attachment to this posting. Thank you. Hello, I am writing to you from the United States and need your advice. I've attached a picture of the home and the floor plan. Via the Eight house chart, the optimal main door position is SE. N, E, S are also relatively good. The house was built in 2002 and the front door is facing due east. I could not edit the floor plan to show due north. 1. How do I find the center of the home. It is an "odd" shape and not your typical square or rectangle. 2. Also, at the front of the house, as you can see from the floor plan and picture, there is a large water fountain. Is that bad feng shui for me? Your help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Steven
  7. Hello, We want to purchase a house, but had some questions. Here is some background of the house. Family of Grandfather, kids, and grandkids have lived in the house for over 50 years. Grandfather originally bought the house and have made many improvements inside/outside of the house along with all the gardening. Grandfather died in the house 17 years ago. Do you recommend purchasing the house? Also, my optimal direction of the house is SE, however, it is currently SW which is not good for me. Would it be bad feng shui if I were to build an enclosure to change the direction of the front door? Your help is always appreciated and I'm very grateful. Many regards, Steven
  8. Hello, I am a SE-Wood element person and am looking to purchase a landed house. The house faces directly North, in which my case, it is the direction of prosperity so I assume it's a good position. The problem is, the house sits on a road that makes a 'T' and therefore the road creates a poison arrow directly to our front door. I've read that I could possibly remedy this by hanging a bamboo windchime or even planting somehedges to block this. Move the door position is really not an option. Would a water fountain help as well? Do you have any suggestions to remedy this or should we look for another house? Your help is greatly appreciated. Many regards, Steven
  9. Hello, I'm a first timer on the theories of Feng Shui and I really enjoy this site. I'm planning to purchase a home. Based on the 8 house chart, I'm a SE person, and the true front door faces NE. However, I recall reading somewhere that if I primarily use the garage door entrance to the home, I should be using that as the Front Door. From the center of the home, I can not see the door that connects the garage to the home. One thing to note is that the garage door to the house upon entering the home is facing SW. Would I consider the home a SW or NE facing home? Either way, NE (Death Line) or SW (Spook) isn't that a bad sign and I should not purchase the home? Your help is much appreciated.
