  1. Hi Cecil, I live in an HDB Maisonette with the door facing south. Recently I discovered Feng Shui and did a flying star calculation. I realize that my balcony which is in the north/north-east area has the 5 facing star. I was told that this is not good. I've been living in the house for 10 years and so far (touch wood) the worst thing that happened was the CLOB issue. The question I have is whether we have been saved because: 1) combination of 10 . The sum of mountain star and base star for all the palaces are 10. 2) The balcony is like an arm-chair facing north. Since part of it is in the north palace and part in the NE palace, could it be that the good Qi from the 7-3-7 of the north palace have neutralised the 5 facing star. By the way, I have a 4-foot aquarium in the balcony at the NE palace as well. I'm a bit kiasu now and have been thinking of drying up the aquarium and giving away the fishes. What is your opinion and advice. Thank you
  2. Hi, In order to pacify the number 5 star in my room, I taped 6 coins to red paper and then taped this to the back of a free-standing 5R picture frame. I then place this picture frame on my desk. The desk is placed against a wall so the back of the picture frame is not visible from the front. Of course you can see it if you look closely from the side. Is this going to be effective against the 5 star? Or must the 6 coins stick out like a sore thumb to be effective? Thanks
  3. Dear Anon, Note: Please do not post more than one message. Please wait for it to be reviewed and posted. Thanks for your co-operation. Hello Cecil, As you know, HDB flats provide slots outside the kitchen window for bamboo poles to be used for drying laundry. And usually the front of one block faces the kitchen of the neighbouring block, with a carpark in between the blocks. There are literally hundreds of these bamboo poles sticking out of the neighbouring HDB block at my HDB block ! In your view and experience with HDB flats, do you think these bamboo poles are a Feng Shui threat? Thanks
  4. Hi, If a cure such as 6 coins are kept in a drawer instead of on the desk, will it still work? Must cures be seen in order to work? Thanks
  5. Hello Cecil, I notice that the flying star chart for north facing and south facing looks the same. The only difference is that the sitting and facing position is interchanged. Is it really the same or have I missed out something? Thanks
  6. Hi, I think of putting fish tank at north wall of my home to tap the 7-3-7 combination. However my main door is directly opposite this fish tank. Would this be a problem in feng shui? Thanks
  7. Hi, I have a south facing period 7 house. My door is at the south sector facing south. From the flying star chart, I have a 8 facing star at the south-west corner, which is just to the right of my door. Is it OK to place an aquarium or fountain there to activate the 8 facing star. I remember reading that we should not put water on the right side of the door. Appreciate your advise please. Thanks
  8. Hi, Must the 6 coins be together using only one string ? To make more attractive designs it is very difficult to use just one string. Thanks
  9. Hi, I need to cure the 5 star. Was advised to use 6 coins in the room. I already have a 5-inch high copper statue in the room. Isn't this more metal than 6 coins? Thanks
  10. Hi, What if you close the window and don't open it. Then it is a wall.
  11. The reason saltwater is that it contains sodium ions which like metal is a conductor. Interestingly this would mean the sea itself would be metal !!
  12. Hello Cecil, Someone taught me to put 6 sing-dollar coins in a jar of saltwater to ward off the 5 star. It's suppose to be more effective than tieing with red string or red packet. Your opinion please. Thanks
  13. Hi, A neigbour's roof has the tudor style triagular shape. His house is directly opposite mine and this roof is pointing at my main door. What is the best way to deflect the sha qi? I heard that this type of sha qi is the worst. Is this true? Thanks
  14. Hello Cecil/Robert, In flying star, should we divide house with a 9 square/rectangle template or should we use a circle divided into 8 equal wedges? thanks
  15. Hi, If flying star indicate that a room is very auspicious but eight house theory indicate that it is not good for your kua number. Which should you believe? TQ
  16. Hi, I think it's because bedrooms are enclosed by walls which are like mountains. So mountain dragons are considered automatically activated in bedrooms.
  17. Hi, Is it true that mountain stars in bedroom are automatically activated without us having to put a heavy object at the wall? Tx
  18. Cecil, Must all the two rows of coins be together or can I tape one row of 3 coins on one edge of the "hong bao" and the other row of 3 coins on the opposite edge? This way the "FUK" in the middle of the "hong bao" is visible and looks so good !! Thanks
  19. Hi Cecil, If I am not wrong, putting a lamp between yourself and the offending poison arrows such as sharp corners of stereo speakers, cabinets, tables can disperse the sha qi. This is useful in modern homes today where so many things are rectangular in shape such as TV, Stereo, CD-racks etc etc... Cecil, what is your view on this? Thanks
  20. Good evening, If according to the eight house F.S the north is one's death sector, other than making sure that one doesn't sleep in that sector can one consider the following action? Since North is of the element water and the death sector of the person, we should use earth element objects to suppress the water in order to minimise the effects. Is this the correct application of the 5 element theory? Thanks
  21. Hi, While researching about significance of Pillars on Feng Shui, I came across the above question. It makes sense at first glance and I would really appreciate your comments since you are an expert in this area.
