  1. Dear Cecil, I would like to seek your advice on placing a mountain art in the living room. While I understand that it is best to place them behind a person in the office but I was thinking to place one at home as a decorative item apart from feng shui purposes. Is any specific directions or areas that I should avoid? Or is it better to place it in the study room instead? Thanks in advance. Regards and Happy New Year! Joe
  2. Hi Cecil, I would appreciate your comment on having small animals like hamsters as pets in our house/apartments. 1. Are they harmful to the feng shui in the house? 2. Are they supposed to be kept in certain rooms/corners to avoid the negative effects? 3. Do you have to refer to the owner's ba zi to see if the owner can safely rear these pets? Thanks in advance.
  3. Dear Cecil, I was once told that I was born in a "yin" month, "yin" day and a "yin" time. As "yin" represents the dark part of the yin yang balance, does this mean that I have a dark destiny? Is there any cure to this? Also, I have tried the ba zi analysis in your website and it says I have a generally hard life. is this related to above matter? You can be truly frank with me as I still believe in doing the best you can and no giving up in life no matter what. It's just that I am very curious of what the charts have for me. Thanks.
  4. Dear Cecil, I am not even sure if this query would have anything to do with feng shui, but here goes anyway: I have recently placed a red welcome mat (yes, a red mat with a big golden "welcome" word on it) on my apartment's balcony for practical purposes. Will this denote that I am inviting "something" to come? FYI, I have not place any altars in the apartment. Thanks in advance.
  5. Dear Cecil, I have 2 queries: 1. When is comes to apartments, is the direction of the building's entrance considered as the direction of the main door or is the entrance of the apartment is the one that counts? I am unable to conduct even a basic analysis if the apartment direction cannot be determined. 2.Some books says that the 3-legged toad should be facing towards the main door while other said that it should face away from the main door (to signify bringing fortune into the house). Can you enlighten me please? Also, should it be hidden from common sight as well? Thanks for your help.
  6. Greetings, I live in an apartment where the main toilet is right opposite the masterbedroom door. In between is the living room (about 14 feet apart)that do not have any obstacle that blocks the view between the two doors mentioned. Is this bad? Wbat type of cure do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi all, I would like to seek advice on my apartment settings. My prosperity sector is located in the kitchen. Is this bad? If yes, what should I do about it? Thanks in advance.
  8. The main door in my apartment is facing the my "mishap direction". Is there any cure for this? Furthermore my kitchen is located in the "life generating" section of this house. I think this is bad I believe that fire in the kitchen will burn away the life-generating forces contained in this area. What would you recommend me to do? Thanks.
  9. Hi, According to the charts, one of my good directions is west. I am trying to place my bed so the my head would face the west. However, by doing this, my feet would have to face the wall that is parallel with the doorway. I would like to know if this is bad even if the foot of the bed does not faces the door directly (the bed faces a wall which is 1 to 1.5 feet away from the door) Further to this, there is also a protuding corner that aims at the bed (a poison arrow). To neutralize this, I was told to put plants at the corner but I would like to know if there is other items that would be just as effective? Thanks.
