Dear Master Lee, I am bowed down with these worries: 1. My bedroom door faces the windows 2. The staircase lead directly to the side of the altar. I was told both cases create bad feng shui. Please advise to resolve them. Thanks.

Hi Master Cecil, Happy Lunar New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai! I have a few questions which I hope you can help: I have read from your previous postings and replies that altar dimensions from floor to table top should be between 124.1cm and 128cm, the ideal being 126cm. May I ask if this dimension includes the 'base height' of certain Guan Yin Statuettes? Some statuettes come attached with a base (e.g. a lotus flower base) of about 10cm where Guan Yin sits on, hence, if we add the dimensions of the base, it will be 136cm (if floor to table top is 126cm). On the fengshui ruler, it would not be considered auspicious, is that a concern? Secondly, are there fixed/ auspicious dimensions for the width and depth of the altar that we must take note of? Thirdly, does it matter if the altar is enclosed (with table top to ceiling structures built covering left and right sides of deity) or open (just a table top with no backsplash or wooden/glass walls on either side of deity? Must the internal backsplash be red/pink? Fourthly, ancestral tablet should be on the left of the deity, so does that mean the ancestral tablet can sit on 125cm height from floor to tabletop, while deity sits on 126cm and it will be fine? Can the height difference be as little as 1cm or it must be substantial? Finally, is there a need to have a 'divider' between the deity and ancestral tablet? Wishing you a prosperous new year ahead. Hi Master, Will be shifting house soon but had a hard time to decide where to build an altar for Kuan Yin in my new place. Hope can seek ur help in it. Is there anything I need to observe when shifting Kuan Yin to new location? I read in your forum that we need to consume vegetarian on the day of shifting as well as the day before. Another thing is that I have some items of Feng Shui from my current house, is it advisable to bring over to my new place or leave them for the new owners?

Hi Master Lee, I tried looking through your other advice on altar placement because wouldn't want to trouble you, but I a bit lost on altar placement for my upcoming house. My wife is Myanmar Buddhist, we are looking for altar location for Guan Yin and Buddha. Thank you Master.

Dear Sir, I came across your website by chance. I stay in Australia. Please advise which is the best position for my Buddhist and ancestor altar. In fact, when I was watching some Taiwan fengshui program. They always said that it is not advisable to had a toilet, kitchen stove and bedroom behind the altar. Given the space constraint, I don't think anyone is able to fulfil all the requirement of having an ideal altar site. We can only do our best. on. Position A is the current position. It has 回风煞 and toilet issue. Unless I seal up the entrant on the right. Position B will result in the altar facing the door however the kitchen stove is behind it. Position C & D will result in a tiger position 虎边. Lastly, may I know what is the position of my house? Should I used the main door as a guide since there is front and backyard?
