Do you place the bagua according to the main entrance of a house/room or according to compass points? I've seen it done both ways.
I've started a new job and I wish to set my desk up properly, but of course I need to know how to place the bagua in order to even get started.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Reply here or my email, safyre@hotmail.com

Dear Vickie,
The main important question I would like to ask you why do you think you need to place a Ba Gua at the main entrance of your house.
I hope you don't mind but can you let us know your reasons for doing so first.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

I believe it's the Red Hat sect that believes in placing the bagua based on the main entrance of a room or the house. I am talking about a cubicle area in particular for this placing. The opening to my cubicle is on the north side, which does not follow placing the bagua on a compass point.
any suggestions you have would be great because I'd like to start moving into my desk area soon ;)

Dear Vickie,
I am not sure if have read this write-up on Cate Bramble's site at:
http://www.loop.com/~bramble/fengshui/confess.html (Confessions of Lin Yun). Within this page there are links to an article devoted to Lin Yun also.
One should not place a Ba Gua especially inside a room or office. This will create Sha Qi.
This website does not discuss on Black Hat Sect or BTB is an "off-topic"
More authentic traditional Feng Shui theories such as Eight House (for personal directions) and other more advanced theories like Flying Star (for the office) and for the individual i.e. Pillars, I believe would help more.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
