House beside Temple Okay? What if the house is beside a quiet temple, but the temple can only see if it is at an angle of the living room and kitchen.

Honestly, Feng Shui has lots of Indian Chiefs. And there are possible to be many Conservatives it be a Feng Shui Master or others who find it uncomfortable to live either in close proximity or unit in alignment with a temple or such a temple. And can be seen from one's flat window(s) openings.

image.thumb.png.5ca8bff2ba400e39b1b68e75bbe3647d.png

As such this is considered a controversial subject. Thus often involved strong opinions by some.

Most Objective way to evaluate a house

image.png.0e9d901e77e71ff8c26357a637a25b65.png
1. How suitable is the unit - Frontage, Kitchen & Main Bedroom? Total : 30 marks  Thus it is not measured by whether one is a Snake and Horse.

2. The other two categories How is the luck of the Interior Feng Shui of this unit? = 35 marks. And External Feng Shui luck? + Overall score/luck. = 35 marks. Are equally looked at.

Around 2018, a client’s close friend was interested in a unit at Kilat Court (facing towards Tua Pek Kong Temple but felt uncomfortable enough. And decided not to purchase the unit.

Sometimes, it can also be Human or Man Luck.. where one don’t really feel great about this.

If one has the time check out : Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck…

Human or Man Luck as they also can affect one’s luck

Hi Master Cecil,

I am someone who fell in love with Kilat Court, and I am negotiating to buy a property there, the unit is facing the right side of the back of the temple but there is nothing pointing over at the house.
Side of the temple has high bamboo plants that block the view of the temple and also, the smell does not come over into the unit as the wind blows from the other side.

The north of the unit is the living area, and it is the side that is facing the temple.

Based on price analysis, it is good buy, but based on feng shui, I would like to hear your opinion, and suggestions.

These are some considerations:

1. Earlier my client is a dentist and already have a pre-defined idea that it is not good to be living close to a temple. His influence on his other dentist friend is equally influential or infectious.

2. The article already did mentioned that this is a highly subjective!

3. Applying Feng Shui?
The Art and Science of Feng Shui

The ABC's of Feng Shui...

image.png.c5822a8f8309c9a854a08d1407996de6.png

A. How Suitable is this House?

image.png.bd718458759324eb052c260869e2d03a.png

Via Science of FS: Part 1 and 2
Via Art of FS: Part 3 External

1PIECHARTTOTAL.gif.6add51f0715c181265b21fdd2d8b79d9.gif

Part 1 = How suitable is the unit - Frontage, Kitchen & Main Bedroom? Frontage, Kitchen, Main Bedroom = 30 Marks

image.png.656826af02e6a965b349888d6661b442.png
(Part 1 accounts for why some homes are suitable to some but not to others.)
Part 2 = How is the luck of the Interior Feng Shui of this unit? 35 Marks
Part 3 = External Feng Shui luck? 35 Marks

Total = 30% + 35%+ 35% = 100 Marks.

image.png.94acde6521a369360c937714ed64dc38.png

Note: Thus the toilet at the centrepoint at most falls under Part 2 with just a few percentage points down only.

B. Habit No. 3 = Concept of Maximizing Marks is another consideration:-

C. Fix-the-leaks, First!

Hello Master Cecil, hope you are doing great!, I have a couple of options to buy, however I have serious concerns regarding the location, hopefully you will be able to advice me, option one has a temple almost next door. option2 has a metal workshop right on front and a cemetary 350m away, both seem like nice properties but I would like to know if it is not goodimage.thumb.png.94ebf0f417a01cc12864c7b35b403aab.png

Frankly, I know of many businesses that are next to a temple that strive. In fact, just last year a client rented a 2nd hand car show room just beside a temple.

As there are less business next to a graveyard today, this is more of a rare situation. Hopefully, the business does not involve vehicle repairs or activities that make lots of noise or sound. As this can be quite disrespectful for such a business to be close to a "quite" graveyard.

Usually, we don't really just make on the fly decisions with just these two sketches. We normally would visit the surrounding area or look at the satellite view of the area: the bulding, the site, the surroundings and external surroundings to get an overall picture.

Having said this, unfortunately, there will always be some conservative Feng Shui masters that will recommend to steer clear of such premises like the plaque.

Extract from HDB Keat Hong Grange BTO

Case Study 3A: HENG AH! Very Lucky right? HDB Keat Hong Grange does not
have a temple that directly faces it's plot of land!

141791884_sitereservedfortemple.thumb.png.1a36ade865727e598d6e28c39dffc42a.png

1. Every temple has a a burning offering mount or chimney. Some nicely decorated as a Pagoda.

2. For the future temple, there is a possibility that such an offering mount could be located at either X or Y:-

35237715_sitereservedfortemple1.png.2059a9f34f551885e2ba71a6ec378e36.png

3. Here, even, if the temple is no threat to the occupants to a unit, the frequent burning of incense and the smell may permeate towards one's dwelling.

3.1. For example, last year I paid a visit to a client staying around the 6th storey of Block 923 Jurong West St 92, I could still smell incense smoke coming from the Jin Fu Gong Temple. Most likely the wind brought the smoke/smell towards the vicinity of the block:-

These incense cauldrons are currently located around the red ring area:

Case Study 3B: Have an altar in you new home? Of Devil's Gate at NE and SW

66457294_keathonggrangedevilsgate.thumb.gif.9193f66e26e959e4d30a997e927558d6.gif

4. These stacks highlighted in yellow e.g. 400, 412, 414, 415, 416, 418, 420, 422 and 424 falls within the NE to SW path of the future Chinese temple.

5. Take extra care in the placement of an altar or Hindu pooja (also altar) to avoid it becoming a portal as a devil's gate: front door or back door.

Case Study 3C: Any concern as we have an indirect view of the temple?

To future proof one's investment, it is still preferred to TRY and avoid especially Stack 400 and 402. Frankly, Stacks 412 and 414 are acceptable. (Other than the number 414 as mentioned under Case Study 1.

Living Near a Temple?

Inside look of a burning cauldron

The Pinnacle @ Duxton also placed smaller burning cauldrons but remarkably, looks identical to the above. With the exception that it has a smaller volume.

Is this song relevant?
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes - Wikipedia

Definitely not. But the do remember the title of this song before purchasing a home beside, next to or close-by to the cauldron of a temple. And pray, really hard.
