1. In Feng Shui; there is a controversy with regards to buildings on "Stilts".
2. From a Shapes and Forms perspective:
2.1. Many traditionalist be it Geomancers or old folks tales; many older persons feel very uncomfortable living a home on "stilts".
2.2. This is understandable given that if the structure is weak; the entire block would just collapse onto itself.
2.3. From another perspective; many geomancers would often ask their clients to refrain from buying the "first" unit just above the stilts. For example in this 5 block development; the upper floors start at #3 (level three or the 3rd storey).
3. On the other-hand; The Ritz Carlton Hotel is build on stilts. As the argument set forth by the hotel was that they were advised to do so. So that spirits can just pass thru such an area (stilts).
