Re-doiing kitchen : if sink & stove be across

Iwill be doing the kitchen over I was wondering if the sink and the stove could be across from each other if they were 6 feet apart?

Sorry, you mean opposite each other.... even if they were 6 feet apartment?
Where possible, even if they are 6 feet apartment where possible, the sink with it's water pipe (hose) should not directly face the stove (HOBS).
