myfs_161224
I read that a mirror facing balcony is in general a bad idea.My house is facing SW2/SW3 with view from balcony is river and many green trees. I am just wondering if it is safe to install a sliding one-way mirror that will face this view to cover my open kitchen. One-way mirror is a glass but can function as a mirror depending on the ankle. I hope master can help me to give clarity.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 14, 2016 Staff Share Posted February 14, 2016 Thanks for sending over your photos. This part of Feng Shui is actually more related to common sense and privacy than to traditional Feng Shui itself. A one-way mirror can be very reflective, and there are several things to consider: 1. It is generally acceptable to place such a mirror for privacy purposes. 2. However, if the mirror is highly reflective, especially on the outside, and if your home faces Southwest (SW), there will likely be some afternoon sun. In that case, do think about how the afternoon sunlight and the reflective nature of the glass might affect your home. 2.1. From a practical point of view, your Managing Agent may not approve this installation. 2.2. At night, when you switch on the lights in, say, the kitchen, the one-way mirror may no longer “work” as intended... 3. From a Feng Shui perspective, a geomancer would need to determine whether the sector where the mirror is placed has auspicious or inauspicious star numbers. If the stars are auspicious, it is said that the mirror can reflect and double the good luck. If they are not, then it becomes a double-edged sword. Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 18, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 18, 2020 Related: Extracts from the above link:- Case Study 11A: Mirror, mirror on the wall? 1. West wall has inauspicious combinations of #2 sickness with #5 misfortune/sickness. Thus not ideal for a mirror on that wall. As it can bounce back twice the bad luck! 2. Equally the foyer leading into the home is also partially at West. 2.1 And Also NW has the inauspicious #3 with #4 = Quarrels, conflicts and legal entanglements. Thus also less than ideal for a mirror, there. Note: 1. Kitchen/stove at NW is also affected by Fire at Heaven's Gate. Already covered in earlier postings. Thus not discussed, here. Question: Where is the wealth sector? 2. Double current prosperity #8's also wasted at North - utility and bath area. Case Study 11A: Can I simply install a mirror in my home? 1. Flying Star Feng Shui can reveal the qi within a room. 2. In this example, it is best not to install a mirror at the East = dining room wall. As there is a nasty combination of #5 misfortune/sickness with #2 sickness at this sector. 3. Ideally, mirror should also not face the main door. 4. Main door has the #3. Learn what #4 with #3 means. 5. Pity also the current prosperity double auspicious #8's are wasted at the kitchen.

This alignment will enhance the composition and focus of the image. The main point of the above illustration is to stand at a specific location, X, from which one should stand to capture a photograph of the lamp post, referred to as O. This instruction emphasizes the importance of positioning for effective photography. Excellent Shots! +++ More Dear Cecil, Trust you are well. Open main door look out to a palm tree. Should we chop off the palm tree? Thank you Yes the easiest solution is to make it disappear. - Cecil Lee Related:
