Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 31, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted August 31, 2020 Case Study 1: Can I rely on the North marking on the Site plan? 1. The outlines of the blocks and the plot are not depicted on street maps such as streetdirectory.com and onemap.sg. 2. I successfully aligned the boundary lines of both the Sales brochure Site Plan with the streetdirectory map. 3. From a comprehensive 360-degree perspective, this development is categorized within Flying Stars N1 and S1, with the potential that certain stacks or units may or may not be included within E1 or W1. (I have yet to thoroughly analyze the various layout plans.) P.S. I extend my gratitude to the same kind individual (who forwarded Forett and this) for also sharing the Huttons floor plans with me. I am aware that Huttons specializes in niche sales within the broader real estate sector. (I previously purchased a boutique condominium where Huttons acted as the sole agent. LOL). Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 31, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted August 31, 2020 Case Study 2A: Sampling of stack #07 and three possible Feng Shui directions 1. Which direction should I use to calculate Flying Star Feng Shui? 2. Feng Shui is the Main Door? 3. The mantra in Flying Star Feng Shui is: "If the proper frontage is correctly found: Flying Star Feng Shui can be applied effectively" 3.1. Who are the conservatives and the modernists? 4. In Singapore, the general consensus amongst majority of Feng Shui Masters is not to use the Front Door or avoid the RED ARROW method. 5. However, there still some die-hards who "die-die" must use the Front Door. 6. In theory, for High-rise could either be the BLUE arrow = Standing inside the living room looking outwards toward Upper Bukit Timah Road or the GREEN arrow = Standing inside any of the bedrooms looking towards Bukit Timah Link. 7. Okay which should I consider as the Frontage then? 8. Good to find out from the potential occupants what is their lifestyle habits. 9. Some will frankly say: "I never or seldom open the bedroom windows". If so, the likelyhood is the Frontage is the BLUE arrow or unit faces West (Flying Star W1) direction. 10. Another argument is that the most Yang Qi has to be from the direct afternoon sun at West (BLUE arrow) vs the GREEN arrow (North side). Case Study 2B: Frontage of Type D Stack #02 is straightforward 11. The concensus amongst majority of Feng Shui Masters (FSMs) is to use the BLUE arrow as the Frontage of the unit. 12. Don't be surprised that there are still some FSMs still consider it as the Front Door. 13. Before hiring an unfamiliar FSM to understand their method; 14. Not to give away your knowledge, ask this question: "Feng Shui is the Front Door right?."
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 31, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted August 31, 2020 Case Study 3: Stack 02 and Stove sharing same wall as the bedroom 3 1. It is highly uncommon in a condo unit to have the stove sharing the same wall as a bedroom. 2. In the past, some HDB layouts especially those of the 1990's may have similar situations where it could be possible for the stove to share the same wall as the master bedroom bed-head. 3. Nevertheless, generally, there is nothing to fault the architect in this stack #02. 3.1. This is because in normal circumstances, most would sleep away from the bedroom door. 3.2. However, nowadays, some may install a platform bed and, here, the dynamic changes as either some want the bed-head at the stove side or 3.3. Some read Feng Shui books or get advice to sleep facing their good directions.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 31, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted August 31, 2020 Case Study 4: "High Noon" at Stack #06 1. In the context of Feng Shui symbolism, a "High Noon" scenario occurs when two bedroom doors are positioned directly opposite each other. 2. Furthermore, this situation presents a straightforward "solution" within the realm of symbolism. 3. The aforementioned does not hold true if either room is converted into a study or office space. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 31, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted August 31, 2020 Case Study 7A: Should I be concerned if the Front Door opens towards a Blank Wall? 1. The most common concern told to some is that it is inauspicious to open the Front Door to be "greeted" by a WALL. 1.1. Here, some were told that "things will not be smooth for the occupants of the house". 1.2. While some Feng Shui Masters (FSMs) may even claim that Qi cannot properly meander "smoothly" into the house due also to this obstacle. 1.3. Good news is that most likely it is either hearsay stigmas by some and/or one finally meets a FSM whose mantra is "the Front Door, nothing but the Front door". These are the Conservative FSMs. (If unsure what I meant by Conservative FSMs, please read Case Study 2 with a link to: "The conservatives vs modernists." 2. A blessing in disguise with such a layout is that the Front Door does not open directly towards the balcony opening nor look into the internal organs of the kitchen. 3. In recent years, this type of layout plan has become popular in various condos spread across Singapore. For example: High Park Residences and The Clementi Canopy are just two of the most recent additions to this list. 4. Ideally, best to avoid a mirror or reflective or gloss cabinet at marking shown in RED "XXXXXXX" above. 4.1. First, is common sense. Where some may get a fright at times when opening the front door to be "confronted" with an image of (self). Or the symbolism of wealth flowing out of the front door. Case Study 7B: Stack #03 layout - Front Door opens towards a partial blank wall - Any concern? 5. Similar concern to some as mentioned under above Case Study 7A. 6. Frankly, in my opinion, really not a major issue - especially by modernists FSMs. 7. Majority occupants often "slam-shut" their front door when not in use. 7.1. Therefore, the argument by some FSMs also that Qi cannot properly flow smoothly into the house from the main door is not that valid anymore. 8. In addition, many FSMs look at these three areas to give a guide to their clients on how suitable the house is to the main breadwinner:- 8.1. What happens if both husband and wife earns roughly the same amount? 8.2. Under Feng Shui, (and Chinese tradition) one should still consider the male-head as the breadwinner. Unless he is a home-maker of the house. 8.3. Look at it this way, the offspring of theirs bears the male's Surname and not that of the wife. 8.4. Another way of looking at it is the male is still considered the head-of-the-house. And you might not agree with me, but the male head psychologically speaking needs "Face". Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 31, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted August 31, 2020 Case Study 8: Stack #02 - Why need TWO air-con ledges? 1. There is a preference to have just a single air-con ledge for each unit under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 1.1. This is because, in many situations, firstly, the air-con compressors give off heated air-flow + vibrations. Not exactly healthly consideration under Feng Shui. 1.2. Secondly, take a look at many air-con ledges and one can find bird droppings and/or dusts/dirt within such air-con ledges especially at the Master Bedroom area. 2. For this unit, ideally, if one were to choose a location for an air-con ledge, it should be the one located beside Bath 1 / partial Bedroom 3. 3. The architect / planner should perhaps have redesigned the YELLOW layout of the air-con ledge to accomodate the necessary number of air-con compressor units. And do away with the one in BLUE at the Master Bedroom.
