Big Splash at East Coast is gone now there’s a new theme park. LOL

Therme Singapore is developed by Therme Group in partnership with Kajima Overseas Asia (Singapore), and designed by DP Architects and Therme ARC, the in-house architects of Therme Group. Announced in November 2025, it is Therme Group’s first project in Asia.

Therme Singapore is expected to feature more than 20 pools and water attractions, over 70 wellness treatment rooms, tropical landscapes, and family-friendly experiences. All of this will take up more than 720,000 sq ft of gross floor area across seven levels, according to a June 19 press release. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 19, and the large-scale well-being destination is slated to open at Marina South in 2030.

The development will include three zones: a play zone with children’s pools, water slides, and interactive play areas; a relax zone with thermal pools, therapeutic mineral baths, quiet water spaces, and amenities such as hydromassage beds and infrared therapy; and a restore zone with saunas, steam rooms, and massage treatment spaces. In addition, F&B offerings will take up about 86,000 sq ft of space. For the landscaping, Therme Singapore will have more than 200,000 plants from over 200 species, including orchids and native Southeast Asian varieties, the press release says.

Beyond the development itself, a coastal public park spanning almost 4ha will be created to link Therme Singapore with Marina Barrage.

This new Therme development has an eerily sail- or kite-like design. It almost feels like it’s trying to rival Australia’s iconic Sydney Opera House, and add another ICON to Singapore City.
