Moving to a new home? Here's what you need to know about updating your Identity Card (IC) address!

Gone are the days of visiting a Neighbourhood Police Post, Neighbourhood Police Centre, or the ICA Building in person to update your IC address.

Today, the process is much more convenient. Since October 2020, Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents can now do it all online via ICA's electronic Change of Address service using Singpass โ€” whether your new address is local or overseas.

If you are moving with others to the same address, you can update everyone's address in a single application too.

Remember, under the National Registration Act you have 28 days from moving in to report your new address, regardless of whether the new residence is in Singapore or overseas.

Updating your address is essential as it enables Government agencies to contact you at the correct address for various purposes, such as the delivery of Government services.
