Excessive noise and the fengshui

Featured Replies

Dear cecil,
I read somewhere that having excessive noise around the house coming from neighboring surroundings is considered bad feng shui. Is it true. Thanks.

Dear Anon,
Usually, it would not be inauspicious, unless it is particulary, at the sector, diagonal to the room i.e. if there are road works carried outside the house, it may create some `disturbance' e.g. health problems for some.
This is particularly, more evident, in cases where the Grand Duke location has been distrubed.

Dear Anon,
1. I am not sure if this is a `consolation'.
2. Many new condominums, have units (frontage) facing swimming pools.
Sometimes, this can be quite noisy, but, to some practitioners, it may imply `activity', which may be good.
While others may consider it bad.
3. The best consolation is based on the fact that during Chinese New Year, the letting off of `firecrackers' create noise and this act "was" (nowadays banned in many countries) said to `scare away evil or bad luck'.
4. *JOKE -start-* If noise can `irritate' us, it will most likely `irritate' (if there are any) non-humans. *JOKE -end-*
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

CAVEAT

THIS IS NOT FENG SHUI

ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT BUYING A UNIT THAT FACES A HIGHWAY?

Many clients have said that when they visited, the noise was not very loud. However, their visits were often on Sundays or public holidays, when there is less traffic. This made them think these units are not too noisy. Make sure to check the noise levels yourself before deciding.
