Windchime placement at negative space

In my apartment layout, there is a small negative space in the earth sector. Will a windchime with an attached crystal be sufficient to counteract the negative space?
I plan to place the chimes on my porch, which falls partly within the earth bagua.

Dear Alice,
A windchime can be used without an attached crystal.
A windchime can be used especially if it is used against a bad earth element i.e. #5 or bad earth / bad yellow. A windchime (especially if it metallic) can help to reduce the impact of the #5. If the porch falls under the influence of #5, then it can be used there.
