Hi Cecil,
Can I look into the feng shui of my new house if I have not actually move in yet? The house have been renovated but I will only move in after Oct 99. Occasionally, I will stay there for a few days in a week(weekend/holidays).
Will enhancing the feng shui of my house benefit to me if it is "vacant" now?
Thanks.
Regards.

Yes. As long as the building has four walls and a roof, an internal Feng Shui assessment can be carried out:
1. The Shapes and Form School can be applied to examine both the exterior and interior, and may be used at any stage—even before the building is completed—especially for assessing the exterior or the site.
2. Under the Compass School of Feng Shui, once the house is built, you can conduct a survey using a standard compass.

In Feng Shui, you need to actually live in a place to benefit from its good energy. This applies to Yang Feng Shui, which concerns the living, as well as Yin Feng Shui, which refers to Feng Shui for the deceased. In Yin Feng Shui, the deceased must be physically placed in their burial site. If the burial site has good Feng Shui, it is believed that the descendants will benefit from it.

Looking at these two situations—the living in Yang homes and the deceased in Yin burial sites—both require the occupants to reside there. Feng Shui does not work by “remote control.” If an excellent Feng Shui home is created but you do not live in it, you cannot enjoy its benefits. Likewise, if you stay in an unsuitable home, the good luck from the excellent house cannot be transferred to you. In such cases, if the house is rented out, it is usually the tenant who enjoys the good fortune.

Warmest Regards,
