Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 31, 2002 Staff Share Posted January 31, 2002 This setup is quite common in light industrial business offices where the main wooden door opens outward. In many countries, this is required by fire safety codes because it helps people exit safely in an emergency. Sadly, in the past, there were incidents in cinemas and nightclubs where people lost their lives during stampedes. The exit doors opened inward, and those at the front were pushed against the doors, making it impossible for anyone to get out. In these three pictures, you can see that the owners added a pair of glass doors for extra protection. The sky‑blue wooden doors behind them also open outward. The owner placed two keiloons at the entrance to guard the office, along with another figurine to welcome good fortune. Warmest Regards, Cecil
