myfs_99023
I will be building a new house and am very interested in ley lines and feng shui. Before I build I want to learn more and build with these elements in mind. I have already picked out the sight and direction the house is going to face however this was all done prior to my interest in ley lines and feng shui. So before any ground breaking begins I want to investigate the ley lines and design of the house in relationship to the ley lines and feng shui. The little I have read so far has only heightened my interest but I am having a hard time finding information which will help me apply these things to my situation. I would be interested in speaking with an expert but do not know where to begin to finding one. I have read one book on feng shui but this applied to a house already existing and talk nothing about ley lines. Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 24, 2003 Staff Share Posted December 24, 2003 Dear Nadine,1. Yes, it is difficult to find topic on `ley lines' under Feng Shui. 2. This is because many locations are now no longer "virgin" land. And have been extensively surveyed. 3. As such, I believe many Feng Shui practitioners, nowadays prefer to write books that sells. Since, writing such a book - is sure to be a non-seller.4. For the topic of `ley lines' it is best to look at the "Western counter-part" of Feng Shui.A good source or starting point is the "cousin" of Geomancy.net i.e. perhaps you should start at: http://www.geomancy.org5. I believe, you have more success with sites like the above, than Feng Shui.6. In my opinion, for a `novice' in Feng Shui, or for someone starting from scratch, it can be an uphill tasking in digesting and putting all the various concepts to build a home.7. This is because, in the lucrative "Feng Shui" business, there are lots of bobby traps - i.e. some books that seems to use the word "Feng Shui" but some of these are not based on authentic Feng Shui.8. I believe, the easiest way is perhaps, to consult a FS practitioner. Well, this is only my suggestion. But if you feel confident to go it on your own, then, I wish you all the best!Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 12/24/2003 1:50:11 AM, Anonymous wrote:I will be building a new houseand am very interested in leylines and feng shui. I realize there is a lot of information to absorb and I am not foolish enough to believe I can do it in a short period of time without help. I have been reading up on the subject and have a better understanding of the subject but do not believe for one moment I can dowse and know which are water lines and which are energy lines. I believe, from what I have read, the best location to place a house is where these ley lines (Dragon veins) intersect and the ch'i is the most powerful. I have no idea how to locate these lines other than dowsing of which I would need assistance. I also understand the best direction of the dwellings front door is south and the basic understanding of the Green Dragon, White Tiger, Black Tortoise and Red Bird. I am hoping with these basics I can at least have a dwelling which has an excellent potential for an environment conducive for Feng Shui.
