Dear Irene,

1. Some Feng Shui practitioners believe that from 2004 onwards (for the next 20 years), things are governed by the number 8. So, they often say it is good to have numbers with an 8 in them, for example as part of your handphone number, and so on.

2. But honestly, it’s not so easy to find numbers that will come out (strike) in the lottery, because this is really based on probability and mathematics.

3. With regards to lucky charms and pendants, this is not really Feng Shui, but more a matter of having something that makes us “feel good”.

4. Some of us feel good because we have a bit of money, don’t quite know where to use it, and then, out of impulse, when we see something we like, we just go and buy it.

5. Human beings are simply like that. It’s part and parcel of how we often “console” ourselves.

6. For example, some of us worry, and when we do, we start gobbling up food, snacks, and so on as a way of making ourselves feel pretty good.

7. Under the zodiac sign(s), there are certain gemstones that are said to be compatible with a specific animal sign, for example:

8. For instance, the Charming Rat’s lucky gemstone is said to be
Carbuncle or Red Garnets.

9. But in a market-driven economy, what we can say is that when someone buys a lucky gemstone or charm, the one who really laughs is the seller, as he or she pockets a handsome profit.

10. In life, the most important things are:
10.1 What we eat is what we become.
10.2 Life is short, so live a full life (not a bloody fool’s life).

Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Dear Master Lee,
What are 2004 lucky numbers?
Is there such a thing as lucky
pendant or charms?
How can one find the right
one?
