Period 8 ?

Dear Master Lee
May I check if our whole HDB block is being washed and painted by the Town Council, does that put our block into Period 8. The neighbouring blocks are of
course painted as well ie. all the blocks (total 5 blks) in our area are painted.

Painting alone isn't often enough to be classified as a major renovation. Major renovation is often classified by hacking of walls which change the internal structure of the house. Thus, your unit will retain the existing period.
