In fact, toilet guidelines does exist. In general, where possible, try to have at least one wall of the toilet sharing an external wall.


If the house has more than one storey, try not to have the toilet bowl (on the second storey) just above the main entrance door.


In addition, for other toilets on the secondstorey, try to super-impose the location of the toilet onto say the 1st storey layout plan. Try not to have the toilet above the dining table, stove and other areas where we often sit down e.g. the living room sofa seat etc...
