myfs_133756
Hello,I am rather confused about Flying Stars - I can find how to make the chart everywhere, but very few places explain what the numbers mean in correlation to each other. Sometimes they even say opposing things! For instance in the image attached, there is a 7M 7W 3T combination in the North. Some places say that 7 is now bad, and I have read here that if it is a Period 7 house (which it is), it is still good.Others say that 6 is bad, because it's untimely, but I've also read that 6 is good (because it is a white star) but it is very weak. Some say that 3 is bad, and others say that 3 is neutral! Some say that the Centre can't be cured, and others say that cures can be used for the Centre!I have found a few places that give advise of only the M & W stars - for instance 6M and 8W offers success, promotion and fame - but I can't find what happens when 2T is added, wouldn't that mean that any success is tainted by sickness and requires a cure? Then there is the annual stars which change things again!!With only the Mountain and Water stars being judged, it looks like I need Metal in the NW, NE, E, and Water to assist the Water Star in the South. It's just so confusing!!Are there any resources (online or books) that I can study to help with all of this confusion?Thanks,Caroline... Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 3, 2008 Staff Share Posted June 3, 2008 1. Frankly, in my opinion, many books will still be general and all those questions that you had posted would have to depend on the various replies that you had received be it earlier or in the near future.2. As practitioners vary in their interpetations, this is understandable especially if one is doing DIY Feng Shui. You still have to go around searching for "answers" as there is no single book that covers what you are asking nor confirming what is "right or wrong". Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 3, 2008 Staff Share Posted June 3, 2008 1. This reminds me of several encounters with Doctors (surgeons / GP or specialists).2. Feng Shui is not an "exact" science and there are as many different practises as there are practitioners. 3. Many doctors (were used) to studying say the human body and many books e.g. Gray Anatomy etc.. detail the exact body structure, muscles, organs. And these are or have to be reproduced "exactly". 4. And several of these Doctors tried to "learn" Feng Shui. And, like yourself, found difficulty as such! Therefore, the consolation is that you are not alone!
