A 1960's tailor's shop front still around today

Look at the mosaic tiles on the shop floor.

This tailor shop along Tanjong Katong Road has the iconic shop front design with two large display windows on both sides of the shop front.

Such shop designs were very common then. And many shops in "high street" i.e. North Bridge Road also had such a shop front design.

I suppose, during that time, psychology was also employed in marketing: as the slanted window display cabinets on both sides were "curved" inwards; to entice someone to walk-in effortlessly into the store.

No wonder, how to argue literally with the term "window shopping".

Please note that the photo was taken around 2015. Some 7 years ago. I believe it was somewhere around the area highlighted in red. Next alternative may be in blue.

But in my opinion, many of the old shops even Katong News Agency also perished ... to tons of eateries. This shop may equally have bitten the dust.
