Common sense vs Stigmas vs Taboos? Common sense is practical knowledge or reasoning that most people use to make everyday decisions. It’s based on general experience and logical thinking about what is safe, sensible, or effective. Stigmas are negative labels or judgments that society places on certain behaviors, conditions, or situations. They create shame or social rejection for people associated with those things, discouraging open discussion or acceptance. Taboos are strong cultural or religious prohibitions against specific actions or topics. Taboos are considered unacceptable or forbidden, and violating them often triggers strong emotional reactions or social penalties. In short, common sense helps us make good decisions, while stigmas and taboos are social pressures that shape what people think is acceptable or unacceptable.

#4 = Conflicts and Scandals In general, #4 is associated with conflicts & scandals and #5 with misfortune or sickness in Flying Star Feng Shui. Therefore, designating the southeast sector as a laundry area is logical. While it may not be ideal to have a door in this southeast sector, it is still considered acceptable.

Hello master Lee, I am designing a house and I have this question from you: Is it ok to put washing machine (laundry) in southeast sector, with fixed flying stars 4-8-5? Is it also ok to have a door (to garden, for bringing clean laundry out)? This is not a good sector for us, since we both are west group people. The house is facing southwest, period 9. Thank you very much

Cecil Lee replied to yang88's topic in Chinese Culture (General)
Laoshan Oldenlandia Water is a well-known bottled spring water brand from China, sourced from the Laoshan (Mount Lao) area in Shandong Province. About Laoshan and its water: - Spring source: Laoshan is famous for its natural mountain springs, which are reputed for their purity and mineral balance. - Water characteristics: The springs are often filtered naturally through granite and other rock layers, resulting in clean, slightly mineralized water. - Cultural significance: Laoshan has a long history tied to Taoist culture, and its water has been valued for drinking and brewing tea for centuries. - Oldenlandia addition Some versions of Laoshan’s bottled water are infused with Oldenlandia diffusa, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb believed to help with detoxification, cooling the body, and supporting liver health. -
Are child marriages happen in China
Cecil Lee replied to yang88's topic in Chinese Culture (General)
Yes, child marriages do occur in China, but they are rare and illegal under current laws, which set the minimum marriage age at 20 for women and 22 for men. Such cases are typically concentrated in rural or marginalized communities and often involve cultural traditions or poverty-related factors. -
