Why not? Often, a secretary for a boss has many advantages:- 1. If the boss is up and rising; and eventually, he/she becomes the CEO or even to Senior Managers (SM); many secretaries I know; often get promoted to Managerial positions. 2. Here, most likely, the boss, has taken a liking to and appreciate the help; his/her secretary had provided him. And, had hope that she be given such a post. 3. Often also, the CEO or SM has also learned to trust her. And feels more comfortable with `his people' round him. 4. A secretary's job is quite good also. As it elevates the `face' of the secretary. For example, the secretary gets a first hand insight on the managerial skills; plus…

Although the attached layout plans are very common for Singapore government board flats (HDB); When I first received a copy of one of them; at first glance, I thought they were the same! While, they are not exactly the same identical layout plan; as there are slight differences especially the entrance to the kitchen; but, overall, they are very similar in many ways! Can you see the differences? There are some who are concerned with the kitchen entrance visible to the main entrance door of the Bukit Panjang unit. By the way; both blocks/units TOP at thes ame time: one is in Bukit Panjang and the other at Ang Mo Kio.

10 Common Misconceptions of the Names of Places in Singapore Is Ang Mo Kio ?ang mo kio? (tomato)? Or is Holland Village named after the Dutch community in Singapore? Are there any links between the new Chong Pang estate and the old Chong Pang Village? Let?s find out more? 1. Ang Mo Kio Tomatoes are called ?ang mo kio? (Caucasian?s brinjal) in Hokkien, which probably led to the misconception that the name of Ang Mo Kio New Town was named after the fruit. However, no tomato farms were ever recorded growing in the old Ang Mo Kio vicinity. http://remembersingapore.wordpress.com/2013/06/16/10-misconceptions-names-of-places/

Location: 588 x Ang Mo Kio Street 52. (For privacy, I have masked out the exact unit number.) Did you see a water melon hung in-front of the unit number plate. Did you also see two halves of a water melon. (Plus a lime cut-into-two pieces)Each half was placed on each side of the floor of the main entrance. A candle stick each was also placed and most likely lighted up when the family just moved-in. The red colour dye is most probably vermillion which is red in colour. And don't mistaken it for some ritual slaughter of an animal's blood. .

1. Do you know that within a relatively short span of 11 years, China has come a long way. 2. In the 1990's and even in 2002, large influencial sites like Geomancy.net with it's huge resources on Feng Shui was literary blocked in China. 3. As previously the late Chairman Mao, during the communist time, felt that either Feng Shui is a threat or a belief. 4. Fortunately, in the last few years, whilst in China, I tried to log in to my website: Geomancy.net and was pleasantly surprised that it is no longer filtered or blocked. 5. At that time, I don't know why, but China considered Feng Shui a religion. 6. Just imagine, Feng Shui is a Chinese institution and at that time; C…

These are some of the most memorable sms exchanges:- Client who SMSed me about her contractor: "They claim is abt the same.. Beige category.. Just slight difference... Nevermind, I will ask them to change to barley white then .. They said lily white is less beige than barley white" Cecil Lee's reply: "Lily white is slightly pinkish not the same as barley white. Lily white and barley white are not twins but rather distant cousins" Client: "Hahaha I like your way of drawing the slight difference.. Twins but rather distant cousins. Best! Thank you for your advise. Will get them to change:-) ============================= After several SMSes (advice to another client):- His r…

Chong Pang: Soon Lee Heng (stall name), Chinese-style satay stall. I happened to walk past the first satay stall at Block 2 Changi Village and ordered their chicken satay. Pleasantly surprised, I found the chunks of meat moist and chewy. Later, I realised that they have four or five photos of our current PM and his wife enjoying satay at this same stall. Looks like there are two Chinese satay stalls and, wow, about four more Malay satay stalls here!

That killer outfit you just brought home from the dry cleaners really can kill you, experts warn. That's because perchloroethylene (perc), the chemical used by most dry cleaners, has been linked to a multitude of health woes - including cancer. "Perc is an effective cleaner; but it's also extremely toxic. It enters the body through the skin and respiratory system, is stored in the fatty tissues and stays with you for a long time". Perc has been classified as a dangerous chemical for years and studies have shown exposure to it increases the risk of bladder and esophageal cancer; asthma and reproductive problems. People who work in or live near dry cleaners are most at ri…

In Singapore, it is illegal for school children to enter the premises of an arcade game kiosk / store or area. However, it can be ambigious if we have a grand-mother who loves the arcade sharing her love of it with her beloved toddler! This grandma seems to love playing a game with her friend at an arcade at basement 1, Compass-point, Singapore. Let's hope her charge does not one day; become addicted to the arcade; thanks to her grandma!

Most probably the worst fried rice that I had tasted... The rIce meant for the fried rice was mostly uncooked (hard). Vegetables especially the tiny cubes of carrots (raw) not cooked... one bitten, twice shy.. LOL The only thing nice was a few tiny “crystal” prawns... Not worth the $6.80/- for it.
