Hi Cecil or Steven, I am planning to buy a 3bedroom unit at Madeira. It is type C3 at 24 Floor. What do you think about the layout and design of this condo? Is it good?

Dear Venkat, Based purely on the layout plan (without) human factor i.e. placement or suitability, I would say Plan2 (or illustration plan2A) is safe since, the water position is not exactly at the centrepoint. If you see the two attachments, Plan 1 (plan1a) however, has the toilet / bathtub at the centrepoint. Not as favourable as Plan 2. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Joan, In the Feng Shui point of view, this is considered inasupicious. Especially, if one sleeps "sandwiched" between two concrete columns or beams: In particularit depends on the size of the beams as well as the distance between it from the bed. And also, the shape of the beam. If the beam is squarish or rectangular in shape, there is an added "sha qi" or poison arrow aimed towards the bed. In the case of the wooden cabinet, it would also depend on one's comfort level. For example, whenever you sleep on the bed, do you feel comfortable? Can sleep properly or not. Some of this aspect also has to do with the condition on one's mind.

Dear Anne, Often, in such a case, there are various options: 1. To check for any external threats to the main door, and all round windows of the home for any visible threats. Such as a lone lamp-post slicing into the home etc.. 2. Fix-any-leaks If the home has leaks, it is best to fix any OTHER leaks in a home. 3. Enhancements Try to use the Eight House / Flying Star to improve on the interior of the home in relation to good Shapes and Forms. (If this sounds GREEK, than, one may need professional help. Otherwise, one could D.I.Y.). I have previously mentioned that Feng Shui is much like one taking a comprehension examination. For example, if one is is required to answer …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, this is not a major issue (as compared to/vs) the Tai Sui or Grand Duke. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Joan, The clue here is that both Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui are compass school Feng Shui - specific to a home/location. Thus, between Eight House vs Ba Zi, it is often, better to consider more from a Eight House point of view, than the ba zi. However, if one uses the Ba Zi point of view, than, one should consider it in general i.e. the main entrance. For example, what is one's element and strength? If say one is a strong water person. Than, a south facing house is considered auspicious e.g. Strong Water destroys Fire (south). Thus is considered a good home for the breadwinner. Thus, when we use the ba zi analysis, do try to see if one is weak or strong v…

Hi Cecil Thanks for your advice. Currently, the water feature is on a separate table at a lower level than where the Kuan Yin is seated. As suggested, I will try to place a lotus leaf (real or artificial) in the water feature as well. Thanks.

Dear Frank, This should be seen under the Holy Trinity of Feng Shui: 1. Heaven luck (it is said that what we are blessed with) 2. Earth luck (luck or no luck at all from our home) 3. Human / Man luck factors Rearing animals is considered as cat 3 i.e. man or human luck factors. Frankly, there is relatively no problems rearing animals as pets. Since, this past-time is as far back as 3 or 4 centuries ago. Since pets often bring us comfort or even solice. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kian Watt, For the Feng Shui ruler, the upper markings are for Yang Feng Shui or Feng Shui for the living. The lower markings or the second level or on some rulers the bottom readings are for the dead (Yin Feng Shui). Frankly, there is often no issue with the need for an exact dimension for a painting. More importantly, if it looks nice and appeals to our "man-luck-factor" or "feel good factor, this will be good enough! Dear Hoa, As mentioned, in the earlier message, it is best to provide the # numbers. For a fire cure, often, check to see if a sector has good natural lighting. This is the best solution. If not, check to see if the location does not have too much "dark" coloured items and the walls are kept bright. Or alternatively, is the lighting sufficient at this sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa, Appreciate if you can include the actual MS # , WS # and base # with the Year #. This would help further understand the precise situation. Since there is often a difference in the mix of #5 or #2 vs other stars and whether in this equation is there a #9. Since #9 with #5 is a potent combination where #9 fire further fuels #5 bad earth etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello, My Kua number is 7. My sleeping direction is SE, which is not one of my good directions. I cannot change the direction in any way. Can I cure it somehow? Thank you.

Dear Janice, Please see below:- Yes, this is often good enough to fly to the next period. But we need to understand that at such an early stage i.e. where Period 7 has just slowly wane-down and Period 8 is still "climbing", it may still take at least up to 2005 to see an effect of such a change. Yes, your current strategy is considered sound, since I believe, this is what most practitioners would advise their clients to do (less the idea of having to do a major renovation). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Frankly, there is no harm in doing so. Whether it works or not is another issue. As for painting the interior side of the door, perhaps can be quite ugly. For the mirror on the outside door, this seems better than the "red interior door colour". Warmest Regards, Cecil

Correction: No (2) question should have read 5,1,7 (mountain, base, water) instead of 5,7,7. BTW, is it bad to locate a bedroom in this sector? as the 7 metal controls the bad 5 earth or do I still need to add metal. Apologies for any inconvenience. Awaiting your advice. Keith C

Hello Cecil, I would like to have a little precision please. When you have to cure a sector (bad flying stars)is it enough to put just one object or do you have to put a lot of. For example you need to cure the east part of your house with water; Is just a painting scene at this part is enough. What about the plant I have at this place? Do I have to put it in another place ? Many thanks for your kind reply.

Dear Master Cecil, I did a search in your forum about Flying Star Feng Shui. Because I was confused about the Period 8 chart vs 2004 chart. My house is facing NW3, however the main door is in the W grid, is this possible / did I chart it correctly??? (The main door is to the left side of the house) My N sector for Period 8 is mount 2, base 4 and Water 4. From this combination of 3 number, it seems that (According to Lilian Too) this will bring disharmony and arguments with spouse and in-laws. Of course I would not want this to happen, but I though the no 4 is the romantic star and the 2 is an illness star, what has it got to do with arguments? Same N sector for 2004 is th…

Dear James, The developer incorporated certain elements of Feng Shui. Specifically, when one gazes into the swimming pool, the outline of an ancient Chinese i-ching coin can be observed, characterized by the square hole typical of Chinese coins, complemented by the blue tiles within the pool. Some time ago, I visited Block 52 (units facing marking K) Source: http://www.themadeira.com.sg/main_siteplan.html. ** **Note: The link mentioned in RED is no longer available today. I found this particular facing unappealing due to the unfavorable Flying star numbers, as well as the view of what appears to be a distant "tomb" (Stadium). Similar to other cond…

Dear Cecil My wife and I are in the process of buying a house which is under construction and will be completed by August, 2004. The house faces SE and there is a garage door that faces NE. Back door looks out NW and faces steep up slope. My Kua number is 2 and my wife's 6. Is this house suitable for us? we are worried because the main door is facing SE. We'd really appreciate your thoughts on this. Sincerely Mo Mo

Dear Vincent, 1. Our report does shows you as a Yin Wood person as your Heavenly Stem of the DAY is Yi. http://www.geomancy.net/online/hsnew_yi.gif Check your ba zi chart and you should also see this in the Heavenly Stem of the day. 2. However, what you do not understand here is that Yin DOES NOT mean that that person is a WEAK. Neither do Yang mean that that person is STRONG. Yin can also have Weak or Strong Yin and Yang can also have Weak or Strong Yang. So it does not mean that because your heavenly stem of the Day is Yi (Yin Wood), that you are automatically a Weak wood person. 3. Whether or not you are a weak or strong person, is ultimately determined by several ot…
