Dear Mercedes, 1. We can draw a parallel with Feng Shui. 2. For most of us, what comes immediately to our mind is enhancements, first and do not blink an eye to the techniques. 3. In Feng Shui, you can learn everything from a Master or even do the best Flying Star Chart, but in the end, it is not the best chart but rather, how one apply the appropriate technique which can yield success. 4. For example, you have asked which is the best month and date to take your nursing exam. This is similiar to looking asking a Feng Shui practitioner, what enhancements I can make to pass my Feng Shui examination. 5. Frankly, the month is not as important as the day. But again, what matte…

Further to what I had mentioned; For the surface area of your `Feng Shui friendly' tables or for anyone wanting to manufacture Feng Shui friendly tables can use this explanation:- (One Feng Shui foot is nearly equal to an imperial foot. One Feng Shui foot is roughly equal to 43 cms.) Description of tables with multiples of 17 inches (lenght x width):- THE MAGICAL 17 INCH FACTOR "One Feng Shui foot was derived from the side of a square, where the length of the diagonal of a square is the square root of two. In the West, this is known as the `magic square'. Thus multiples of 17 inches will translate to several square foot of the optimium auspicious width. " Warmest Regar…

Dear Marie, If you have Chinese guests, it would be a nice gesture if the host can wear Red. As this is considered a very auspicious colour for this occassion. If you country allows the use of fire crackers, this is a tradition, we Chinese use to ward off evil and usher in the new year. Furthermore, the pathway will be pathed with the remains of red paper (belonging to the fire crackers). If u are not allowed to do so, please don't do so. If you have give exchange, never, never, give a wall clock as a gift. This is very bad luck! If you have Chinese guests, try to find some lovely Chinese music. Otherwise, some soothing music would create a warmth atmosphere. …

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. Under the Five Elements concept, there is this saying " opposites attract! ". 2. Frankly, is a very common situation if we apply the eight house theory. 3. When u settle down and find a home, best to find a house that suits the main breadwinner (unfortunately under FS, it is still considered the man of the house). For example, a good direction at the main door. For you, it is good if this sector is say the irritation or spook sector. 4. For the bedroom, the partner who has the best influence sleep closer to his/her favourable sector. While the other partner sleeps further away. 5. For newly married couples, it is not advisable to sleep in an irregular …

Dear Cecil and Robert, I am having such difficulty with the placement of my furniture; especially the bedroom. taking compass direction seems to be difficult. This is because I've read that directions are measured by degrees. My questions are... Where do I place my bed? My auspicious directions are NORTHWEST, NORTHEAST, SOUTHWEST, and WEST. As I have tried to situate my bed. It is definitely impossible. Although I have a bedroom measurements of 11'- 4" X 14" - 6" I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE PLACEMENT CORRECT. The WEST is a WALK IN CLOSET and the ENTRANCE to my BEDROOM. NORTHWEST is DIRECTLY BEHIND the DOOR. SOUTHWEST is the CORNER of the WALK-IN CLOSET, AND NORTHEAST is adjac…

Dear Co Huynh, 1. If you are a weak metal person, the element that can give you a significant boost is earth. 2. Water element does not benefit you under Ba Zi. 3. Please note that water position in the wrong location of a house can affect one's marriage and even wealth. 4. Usually, it is best not to use water in the back of the house as most of the time it is inauspicious. 5. The most effective use of water is still at the frontage of the house or using Flying Star Feng Shui to detect metal positions:- 5.1 The most beneficial way to activate water dragon is to locate #7 (weak metal) and #6 (strong metal). Under the Five elements concept, metal supports water. This is a …

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. According to Feng Shui principles, it is advisable to avoid placing a mirror behind a cashier's counter, as well as on either side of it, particularly in finance or accounting settings. 2. Cats, like all living beings, possess emotions and the capacity to feel pain. It is worth considering the perspective of being born as one of these animals. 3. The primary concern with keeping cats as pets is the potential for allergies in some individuals, including children. Generally, pet owners tend to maintain hygiene through regular bathing. 4. While stray cats often groom themselves, feeding them may not be advisable. Similar to guidelines i…

Dear Anthony, 1. Earth predominantly gives off sickness Qi. This is why #2 and #5 are predominantly bad earth elements. 2. If we look at a Chinese luo pan, we will notice that the outer shell is a rectangle. 3. While the inner is a rotating circle metal piece. As many of u know, circle represents Metal element. 4. A luo pan consists of: Outer square piece represented by the earth Inner metallic dial represented by Heaven. 5. In many of the cures, we therefore, see that Heaven Qi or Heaven Metal Qi is used to neutralise bad earth elements. 6. Therefore, metal, is the chief ingredient. Please see below:- To be effective:- 1. It must not those `play, play' type with so…

Dear Marian, Please see below, This is because it is so easy to quote raw data in only just a few lines and wait for a full assessment. Imagine, if every forum member does this, I am not sure how I am going to manage it. There are already specific tools available. Or make use of any competent FS practitioners anywhere. So, I really appreciate if users do not simple quote such information. Especially in this forum since it is specific only to that individual. As another person's home will certainly not share the same stars or Gua (Kua) number. It is best to use a three-step approach to form the basis of solid grounding in Feng Shui: 1. Understand the purpose of each c…

Dear Hoa Luong, Generally, at Geomancy.net, we focus on fixing the entire 20-year sector problems which usually affects the entire period. The yearly star changes each year, so if you can fine tune the cures and fixes for each year you can obtain the best overall cures or enhancement for your home. Note here that there are many people who worry that after 2004 their house will change to a period 8 house. This is wrong. Flying Star focuses on the Birth chart of the house just like Ba Zi focus on the Birth chart of a person. So for all those staying in a period 7 house (1984-2003), so long as you do not make any major renovation changes to the structure of the house, it wil…

Dear Ivy, 1. Often, some elders (parents) may have a wrong perception that certain years are not good years for marriage or even give birth. 2. But if this is the case, many hotels and restaurants may close down. And for women and children hospitals, they remain idle for much of the year. 3. Frankly, this is not an issue. So long as one does not marry e.g. during Qing Ming and 7th month of the hungry ghosts, other months can be chosen. 4. More importantly, the two dates should match both you and your partner's ba zi. 5. I have provided you a courtesy combined ba zi report that analyses both you and your future husband's ba zi. Simply unzip the attached file and look at th…

Hi, You can make use of the Free Auspicious Dates for Entire Month in the Members Area to assist you. This is very personalised to your Ba Zi and Tong Shu dates to give you the most suitable dates. Alternatively, you can also choose common general dates such as 1 and 15 of lunar month. Or For a Rabbit, avoid days which is Rooster (you), Rat (zi), Tiger (yin) days. These days usually clashes with Rabbit. For a Rabbit, usually day such as Goat, Dog, Dragon and Pig are good dates for a Rabbit. For a more personalised analyse use the Auspicious Dates for the Month. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anthony, Happy New Year! Please see below:- 1. This is a possibility but frankly, no Feng Shui practitioner in modern times can say for sure. 2. The rationale is because this occurs only every 20 years. And many FS practitioners has not studied this change so closely nor do they have a sizeable amount of people who do so. 3. Good Feng Shui is always practised on the premise that: if it works for MOST of us, it can usually work for another person. 4. But, previously, such information cannot be collected en-mass for detailed analysis. For each practitioner, there can be no cases of this nature (since this is a novel idea). 5. Even if they have one case to study, i…

Dear Steve, There are many form of auspicious numbers:- 1. 666 if you look at it in hokkien is 6 = luck so it is luck luck luck. 2. Some like to go by like 8 (fa - wealth) 3. Another way is by luck number and calcultion based on your gua just as in the example shown in this url:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-eight-gua-number.htm 4. Some by meaning of the number. 4 may be (die in cantonese), but to the westerners 4 is used by like 4 leave clover which is lucky. So all these really depends on how much you believe. I think you should go for what you feel is good for you. 666 sounds like an auspicious number to me. 5. Probably other ways to improve y…

Dear Darlyne, Yes, based on the year of birth 1974 is Tiger Wood. So if you just use a basic Year of Birth Analysis, most will determine you to be a Wood Element. For the many people born in 1974, they will not all belong to Wood element some may be a fire-wood, water-wood etc. So each day provides a different element. There is also another element based on the Eight House Gua Number which is also based on the year of birth. So these two are not very good feng shui analysis tools to determine what element you really are. The best way is to use the Ba Zi Feng Shui where it takes into account your Year, the Month, the Day and Hour of birth to give you a very accurate analy…

Dear Kay, 1. Placing the figurines in the living room is indeed the most common location. 2. In my vast experience visiting Chinese homes, I have observed that the Fu Lu Shou figurines are typically placed on a display table, often on an open shelf. This practice is widely followed. 3. Placing the figurines under a waterfall is not a common tradition. 4. While some may pour virtual water on the figurines, I personally do not recommend this as it is best to stick to traditional customs. 5. It is crucial to ensure that the figurines are not placed below a beam and to adhere to other guidelines such as avoiding placement on the opposite wall of a toi…

I lost my job shortly after I had moved to this house. And it has been difficult for me to find decent job opportunities ever since. I am well educated (with several degrees), hard working. I have no bad habit. I usually team with co-workers well. I just cannot think of any reason of being in this situation. Recently, I started paying attention to the "feng shui" of my house: 1. It is a big house (two stories plus a basement and an attached garage) and I am living by myself. I think it is called "leak of energy" according to "feng shui". I have no intention to invite people to live in the house with me. Is there any other "cure"? 2. The breakfast nook sliding "glass door"…
