Dear Hoa, In my opinion, it is best to consider this house as "constructed" or "built" or completed in Period 7 as opposed to Period 6. (Please note all the past -tense). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. In your situation, you should use Period 7 instead of Period 6. 2. The rationale is because; the convenience store is considered as the `heart' of the gas station. As it commands central focus and where human activity centres e.g. billing office, cashiers' counter and some customers walk up to this place. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hallo, Master, I need your help! We bought an appartment, which is built in 1980 (period 6). The previous owner has made a change and I wonder is this change big enough the appartment to become period 7 and reflect to my Flying Star calculations. A door to balcony was walled up and the balcony bacame a opened kitchen to another room. I attach here a drawing. or the appartment considered to be period 8 because we are now moving in

Dear Anthony, Anthony L. wrote: Hi guys, I bought the standard bundle and I tried the PAID: House Hunting: Most Suitable & Auspicious House Facing Report. But the report is based on period 7 (1984 - 2003) while now we're in period 8. Are the differences between the periods significant? How do I view this in period 8 format? I look forward to any comments/answers. Thank you! Firstly, you need to know that the report will generate the best house direction depending on the house profile you created under. This means if you create a period 7 house profile, then it will generate a report that is period 7. If you create a profile under period 8, then it will generat…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Under the Flying Star theory, a house can be considered auspicious (bearing in mind that Shapes and Form Feng Shui has also to be considered) - if it has a "double" number similar to the period. For example, if the house's main door is located at North 1 and there is a double 7's i.e. mountain star = 7 and water star = 7 for a house under Period 7. Similiarly, for a period 6 house, there is a double 6's (mountain star = 6 and water star = 6) for a house built under Period 6. Similiarly, for a period 5 house, there is a double 5's (mountain star = 5 and water star = 5) for a house built under Period 5. In addition, houses built under perio…

Dear Anon, Usually many Feng Shui practitioners will practise: 1. Compass School Feng Shui : a. Eight House Theory or Pa Cai Feng Shui This has to do with the placement of stove/ bed arrangement/study area. If so, usually or often, there is no changes, here. b. Wall colour and wealth area Often, if the wall colour isbright yellow, bright red or bright green, then there may be some instances where there may or may not be changes to these walls. Wealth area willmost often be different under Period 8. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Our flat is build in 2002 (Period 7). Dear Robert, Thank you for your reply. I think I did disturb the Grand Duke Jupiter while renovating as one portion of SW (240.0 TO 247.5) lie in that room which I renovated and the Grand Duke was there in 2004.Recently I have placed Pi Yao in the East facing West to appease the Duke after reading a lot of your advice forums. Does this solve the problem? As you have suggested, I have checked the 2/5 combination and it lies in the NW sector with 9 as the base star. Please suggest a remedy as I have had enough trouble after the beginning of period 8 especially after this renovation. Also one more question. My Gua no is eight. In period eight the misfortune star 5 lies in S…

These are some considerations: 1. For a house considered as belonging to Period 7; if one plots it's 20 Year Flying Stars (correctly); this chart would not change even if we enter into Period 8. 2. In Period 8, the most important "wealth" or "immediate" wealth stars are #8's. 3. While #9 is known as the future prosperity star. 4. For a Period 7 house; between 1984 to 2003; at that time #7 was the current prosperity. Today, please refer to Para 2 above. As we are now into Period 8. 5. Not to be confused with one's building as belonging to Period 7 or Period 6 or even Period 5 etc.. Regardless of this; why is "Flying stars 2012 chart" called this way. Simply; it applies to …

In general, it is possible for the facing direction of such a home to be facing North or South (depending on what are the views especially at the "south side". For example, if the south side looks out to your neighbour's yard.. then.. most likely the North is the facing direction. 2. Hardly think that the facing direction of the home is East as it is facing the side of your neighbours home. 3. Other than that; frankly…

Dear Reina, Reina Bernadette De Leon wrote: My house is in period 7. Should I also follow the flying star of 2005 to cure the afflictions and enhance the stars of the other sectors. My gua number is 9 and my death direction is northwest. What cure should I install to negate chue ming? Thanks you. The easiest way to apply flying star is always fix up the 20-year sector because this influence will last the longest as long as the house luck does not change. The yearly luck will come and go each year. So these changes are not absolutely lasting very long. However, a little caution to where the star 5 and 2 which are the two worst stars should be neutralized where possible. …

Dear Patricia, Yes, in particular, even if your home has a combination of ten, it is good to review the layout plan to see if the home could or could not benefit from a change of Period. For example, as you had mentioned theparticular concern iswhcih part of the home the north #7's fall into. If this is the living room or activityarea orroom, then, one may seriously have to consider "flying" toperiod 8.Again, you need to study the Period 8 chartto see if the layout plan is suitable for activating double auspicous #8 at the South sector as well as other good sectors like SW and West. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: I live in a south 2 period 7 house in all rooms there i…

These are some considerations: 1. It depends! 1.1. In a neighbourhood school and within a non-streaming class; if we were to grade the students in a class, it would form a "Bell curve". 1.2. Thus, even within various condos whether they are in the NE or other parts of SGP; in many instances, also, each stack and even in some instances, different storeys would also often take the profile of a "Bell curve". 2. Frankly, there are two approaches: 2.1. In the past and current; common sense says that bring along all family members to view the place. Thus, if one does not want to get a specific Feng Shui service like Can or cannot buy; then continue to view based on personal fee…

Dear Master, I have purchased a brand new house in 1998 which is facing 183 degree (S2) with front door at the South side of the house facing also 183 degree, sitting N2. It is rectangular shaped. Based on Flying Star analysis, my house has a perfect "sum of ten" (mountain star and period star)in all 9 palaces built in Period 7. With Period 8 coming, I am not sure this house would be as auspicious as in period 7, since the chi of period 7 house declines in period 8. Can you enlighten me with my dilemma? Thank you so much for your help! Wang Jing

Dear Connie, Glad that you enjoyed our website. 1. Unfortunately, the bad news here is that Tai Sui this year is at South-South-West, which is where you are planning your renovation works. This isn't very good as in 2004 you should avoid having any major renovation works done in this sector to avoid offending the grand duke. 2. Probably only thing you can do here if any is do a small prayer towards that direction to apologise disturbing the tai sui. To reduce any impact. Otherwise, very little you can do as it is always best not to offend the grand duke whenever possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Michelle, Since you had mentioned that although the roof was put in Dec 2003, however, since the internal organs of the home have yet to be ready by then i.e. ready in 2004, it would be best to use the Period 8 chart. As you have also not even moved-in yet. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Reina, Quote: ie period 7 (NW sector has 5-2-5 and yearly 5 will be very bad) ie period 8 (NW sector has 6-6-7 and yearly star 5 not too bad) I don't understand the NW 525 in 7 and 665 in 8. Can you please explain further. Frankly, this is lots of flying star related analysis. I was simply trying create an example to tell you that different period and different flying star numbers in the sector will make the yearly star have different overall influence. 5-2-5 are all three Strong Earth Illness/Misfortune star. With the yearly 5 again nother Strong Earth will make that sector extremely bad. 6-6-7 are Metal related stars. Metal helps to exhaust Earth, thus even if S…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: But I know, my renovation of the house will include wacking of wall, making flooring and furniture from scratch. It's totally empty and not furnished yet. Yes, if based on your renovation, it does not matter if it is a period 7 house now. As the "wacking of wall", will likely convert it to a period 8 house. So what you should be doing is planning the home so that it fits the period 8 house chart to benefit from the period 8 house luck. Hope that helps. Aloha, I have been reading your web site for over a year. Thank you for all you do to help us understand the fundamentals of feng shui. I hope my request is general enough to help many people. You stated there are many ways to change to period 8 without much hacking. Could you explain. We have a new home. West 2/3 . We could re orient to N/w1, or 2/3. I have been told and read of problems with the 7's in the flying star chart during period 8. We do not have the money for an open roof remodel as I have read is needed. Any help is appreciated. Dear Steven, Firstly, Congratulations! On your new home! 1. As many of us are aware, Flying Star Feng Shui comes under two forms:- 1.1 Horizontal Flying Star Feng Shui This is often called the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui. And of course, there is also the Yearly, Monthly, Daily and even hourly Flying Star FS. 1.2 Vertical Flying Star Feng Shui This is the Apartment Number Flying Star Feng Shui. And the influence, here is also based on variables like: a. What period the home was built? b. What floor or storey is the unit located. Therefore, the rationale why, there is a difference in the Vertical (House / apartment no. interpretation has to do with not only the combined 8…

These are some considerations: 1. As much as we like "make" a home slot into a better period; Flying star is not about "reverse engineering" sort of thing. 2. What I mean is; since one period is say better than the other; we ourselves decide upon our own to "slot" the home into a period which we feel that is auspicious and try to play "Tai Chi" and sweep away notion that it belongs to the "other period. 3. In my opinion, generally, and also partially many geomancers would more readily accept that even if the home was built ongoing in a certain period; what may be the more important consideration is "live-in" or "yang qi". 4. Thus, it is not wrong to say that an "empty" …

These are some considerations:- 1. Most likely your whole flat painting could have been affected by each year's "sensitivities":- 2011 Flying Star Forecast North 8 3 1 9 7 5 4 2 6 South Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at South Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at East Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at North Education/Romance Star this year is at South-West Grand Duke this year is East, 90 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is West. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict. 2. For example, in the above example; esp…

Dear Reina, Reina Bernadette De Leon wrote: My house was built in period 7 and its front entrance is the west (actually side entrance) but the facing direction is south. My question, if my house was built in period 7,what flying star chart should I follow, period 7 or period 8? Right now I have made some cures in my home but I followed the flying star chart of 2005. Am I right? Please give me some advice on what to do? Thank you. In order to determine if your home is still a period 7 or period 8, you will need to confirm whether there are any major renovations done in 2004/2005. You see a house does not change to the new period automatically unless you make enough chan…

Dear CJ See & all other paid flying star users, I am using this posting to explain to all users who seems to have this confusion about the flying star. 1. Everyone should remember, that the flying star analysis from our website, gives you the analysis of the period based on the year the building was built. ie. If a house is built in period 7 (1984-2003), it means that it should show you a chart that is based on a period 7 20-year house chart. ie. If a house is built in period 6 (1964-1983), it means that it should show you a chart that is based on a period 6 20-year house chart. 2. What it DOES NOT do is to automatically show you the next period influence (ie now…
