Dear Jimmy, Jimmy Ng wrote: The binding elements to get the two parties to be compatible or reduce conflict is Earth. May I ask what would this Earth element refers to ? Five elements can refer to colours, shapes, direction, career and people around you. You can refer to this link for some guide about five element and relationships:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net The most practicate for improving harmony between two persons would be choosing the right colour scheme / decrative patterns scheme for the room that both person's share. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Please provide information with tips about proper feng shui for a hexagon shaped bedroom. Frankly, you still use the same tools and advice for a square or odd shaped room. 1. Determine where is the door, and avoid placing the bed in positions that it faces the door etc:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-bedroom.htm 2. You also have to use theeight house to determine which sector of the bedroom falls in your better sector, then place the bed closer to that sectorr. 3. Also, based on your eight house, you can determined which of the directions would be best for your sleeping position. Once you determine all that, then you…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is having a TV really bad inbedroom The rational behind a TV being bad is only because in the past the TV screens are more of those reflective types. Which looks similiar to a mirror. So it is said that when you sleep, your spirit leaves your body. It may get a shock when it sees itself in the TV screen. So this is why a TV is typically deemed bad. However, what if your spirit is the type that wants to look good, it will see itself in the TV, then comb your hair to before flying off. So ultimately, this is a matter individual perception. Furthermore, now-a-days with the LCD TV, there isn't any reflection at all. Furthermore, TV is a form of e…

Dear Anon, 1. Firstly, is there any other better alternatives then to place bamboo strips? For example, if it is a window, so long as you have closed the window or it is part of the balcony the balcony glass is on the side facing the main door such that qi cannot flow out directly. 2. If the above alternative is used, then no need to consider bamboo strips. 3. If you still have to use bamboo strips, then the "test" is so long as we humans can "see thru" the bamboo strips to our main door; then equally, it is fine to place it at the location mentioned. 4. As for the frosted glass so long as it is not reflective (like a mirror) it would be acceptable especially if it is…

Dear Anon, The common "cure" is to place a red circular "dot" (e.g. using a permanent marker, or a circular red sticker the size of a hole-pucher hole or the use ofa "girls" reddish nail varnish. Just simply place the "dot" on the key hole area or just above the keyhole of the doorknob. Place the same "dot" exactly on the same area of the other door. Here, symbolically, the RED dot is like an "eye". And it goes " we look eye to eye with each other Anonymous wrote: the 2 bedroom doors of my apartment are facing each other what can i do with this?

Dear Anon, Frankly, the hardest room to move-if any is a bathroom because of it's fixtures/sewerage piping etc... Thus, many of us have to "live" with it. In general, there are two "COMMONSENSE" approach in the name of Feng Shui: 1. If our bathroom door is fronting the stairs.. the best alternative of not seeing the toilet while moving up and down is simply to close the door. 2. Whenever we flush to toilet, especially the toilet bowl, the water coming from the toilet bowl area usually "flys" out. This is why we often here that toilet is not clean or dirty. Ordinarily, many of us are healthy individuals and a bit "dirt" does not kill us! For example, in a toilet, any…

Dear Leigh, In my opinion, many traditional practitioners of Feng Shui strongly believe that we should not reverse the readings for the southern hemisphere. I am not going to comment on the use of the "fixed template" or the placement of a "fixed" bagua onto a layout plan as this is a modern invention. And not widely practised by Traditional School(s) of Feng Shui. The example of water draining out of the sink the opposite site which differs clockwise or anti-clockwise between the North and South hemispere is often used by those who reverse the readings. There are lots of arguments against this such as the Five Elements Concept: Metal - Water - Wood - Fire - Earth ce…

Dear Benny, 1. It is best to seek professional Feng Shui advice especially if one wants to utilise Feng Shui. 2. On a self-help basis: Usually, if possible, knowing whether one is an East or West Group can help. 3. Besides this, since the piece of land is from east to west, try to position critical areas such as bedrooms, living rooms or critical walls in any of such rooms within the "afternoon sun" or west. Imagine, working or sleeping in a west room .. especially even after 7pm if the wall of a bedroom faces the afternoon sun. It will literally soak in the heat! And subsequently release from the wall. Thus turning on a fan does not help. Unless one turns on aircon …

Dear Sophia, 1. To be honest, there are many "holes" in your questions. Or there are really limited information to providea good answer. 2a. This is because, in real life, when we provide professional advise, we have to analyse a home based not only only Shapes and Forms of the home, even where the drainage exits from a home. 2b. To other factors, like what Flying Star Period and even the direction of your home. Thus to give you a simple example, if one is staying in a Period 7, Flying Star; North-West home; the current water wealth star #8 is at the centrepoint of the home. And usually such a home has already "SMALL LUCK". 3. Even if one's Eight House prosperity se…

Dear Keith, In my opinion, it "the bedroom above a garage" may not necessarily be the main cause of the problem. The rationale is that not looking at other diagnostic tools such asthe use of Flying Star Feng Shui etc... there are existing owners who do have a bedroom or even a master bedroom above a garage. Usually, the main reason why it is considered inauspicious has to do more with "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. For example, the main rationale, in addition to what you had mentioned, some people use another reasoning or both: what you had mentioned and also that in (the unlikely) event that the car at the porch catches fire, and the bedroom is directly above …

Dear Lip Seong, 1. Sorry to learn about your situation. 2. Your landed property seems to be a terrace "type of home" where qi enters from either North "backyard" area or South "frontage". 3. In general, based on my quick look at your layout plan:- As qi comes into your home from either North or South, unfortunately, under current Period 8, this North sector or the back of your home is influenced by :- MS #7 with WS #7 and Base = #3 In general, Flying star is based on qi flow and unfortunately, there are double #7 which under this current period is "theft-loss of wealth" sector influenced by bad #3 = career / romance / issues 4. Dear Anon, Most likely, your friend or friend's family don't have any elderly in need of aid such as wheelchair bound or walking stick! In addition, some elderly or even those who may have some illness such as diabetes that may need to go toilet often. Tell them to "enjoy" walking up and down the home. In addition, for us Chinese, we do cook alot : lots of wet ingredients. Tell it to us, to first bring up our marketing items.. hopefully prawns don't leak it's contents on the walkway etc... Later, need to dispose of it. Don't get me wrong, I like the "idea". But. as especially for the Chinese, many of us live with our parents, especially to look after them. Not to "…

Dear Anon, Welcome to the forum! To be honest, crystals are modern invention. For us Chinese, just imagine a generation earlier or a few generations, back! There is no such thing as crystals! In general, man made crystals only appear in my opinion, in recent times (may be 30 years or later). Under the Holy Trinity of Luck:- a. Heaven Luck - Is based on when we are born and our luck or our destiny from that day b. Earth Luck - Feng Shui of a home or office c. Human Luck - In the past, human luck does not really costs any monetary value. But, with so many people, using our feelings to get us to buy products in the "name-of-Feng Shui". Usually most products are c…

Dear Karen, The kindergarten method is to place a crystal at the SW = romance corner (of a room or house). Sometimes, by coincidence this matches the "romance" sector of the home. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, in general, and specifically the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui:- MS # WS # Base # If you seek help from a Feng Shui practitioner, most likely the practitioner will advise to activate MS # especially if is #8 or #9 Where MS#8 = networking, relationship luck. The above example is very general but give an idea as a proper Flying Star analysis of a given sector includes looking at all the relationships of MS# with WS# with base #. Here, there is a higher change…

I have read that you should always keep the toilet lid closed -especially when you flush it. It may also be good to put a plant at some point between your bed and the the toilet and to try to keep the bathroom door closed as much as possible. I hope this helps. Good luck with the coming of your new baby!

Dear Becky, To be honest, if you are referring to the "House-number" report, it is meant more for high-rise apartments. This house number report is based on "Vertical-flying" Star Feng Shui. As the term "vertical" suggests, it has to do with buildings or apartments on different floors. This method is very popular especially in Hong Kong with high density of population living in flats or condominiums. And it is said that a high rise that is on the 6th floor or storey would differ in qi with another same unit on the lower or even upper floors. Thus, if yours is a landed property, this "House-number" report should not be used. But rather, one should, if one knows how t…

Dear Mary, Please visit this url with forecast for your animal sign:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2008.htm In general, (don't get too unduly worried) as under www.lovesigns.net the animal sign opposite each other are suppose to be the most incompatible of the two. For example, if you were to view the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Rat faces the horse directly! However, don't get too much auto-suggestion or self-fulfilling prophecy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see sample attachment. Where there are five family members living in this apartment: Pers1 = male breadwinner Pers2 = his wife Pers3 = his son Dad and Mum Firstly, we need to find out whether each family member(s) are an East or a West group person. In the above sample example, all family members happen to belong to the East Group persons. The breadwinners are Pers1 (Male owner) and Pers2 (Female - wife). As the breadwinners, they sleep in the master bedroom between sectorEast and South-East. In addition, it is nice to point the bed-head facing East which is one of their good sectors. Dear Anon, To be honest, over a few sentences, it is very difficult to pin-point what is the issue. Generally, if everything else remains the same and then when we shift to a new home; issues come-up. Most likely there are "wealth-leaks" in your existing home: For the home Feng Shui, the leak(s) could be due to Shapes and Forms: do stand inside the main door looking outwards... check for any "poison" arrows such as lone lamp posts etc... or any pointed roofs of neighbours aiming either towards the main entrance door or the windows. The other concern is how suitable the home is to the male breadwinner and other Compass School concerns and if possible the knowledge to …

Dear Jude, The key word is: Location, location, location. What is most important are both the external and interior Feng Shui of a home. This involves: Shapes and Forms and Compass School of Feng Shui. The Compass School of Feng Shui is based on both the : Kua (Gua) and Flying Star Feng Shui. Currently, what you are looking at is just the Kua (Gua) of a person. And the directions you mentioned are considered very "simplisitc" as it does not take into account Flying Star Feng Shui. Where under Flying Star Feng Shui, directions are equally important not just the Kua (Gua) of a person. What you are doing therefore only takes into account directions based on persons wi…

Dear Suzanne, 1. Under the Five element concept, it is true that fire produces or fuels earth element. If we take just this two element flow. 2. However, this is not the "end" of the world. Earlier on, you are just looking at what is known as a "TWO-ELEMENT" flow i.e. Fire give rise (or fuels) Earth (full stop). But it does not end, here. 3. One can look at it from a wider spectrum i.e. move into or apply a three element flow i.e. FIRE - 6. To get around the concern of: not able to introduce say Red, or Green or some other colours because of one reason or the other, we can instead, introduce the entire "range" of the Five elements. This is simply known as FIVE-ele…

Dear Anon, Orange colour because of it's close resemblance to literally an "orange" or a "mandarin" orange is considered as "gold" colour. And gold belongs to the range of metal elements. Thus, painting it orange, would be bright and colourful! More importantly, many toilets are in enclosed area and often not well lit. Thus, especially if we do have elderly at home or youngsters, it is still good to go for light pastel colours in a toilet. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable to paint the bathroom orange if it is in the NE sector of the home? Is it OK to use the enhancing color of orange in the NE earth sector when it is the bathroom, or is…
