Dear Elena, You may have to do some homework and approach a Feng Shui Master to work out the terms of reference for the study / tutorship and accomodation. This also includes the individual country's visa restrictions on employment if any. In most part of the Far East, one should be expected to have some knowledge in Mandarin. For those who are going to Hong Kong, most likely must know some Cantonese - at least. Today, you may expected to pay quite a tidy sum or even may expect to be rejected outright for a 1:1 type of course. Dear Sharon, Please see below:- In my opinion, in a small room although technically speaking one can still divide the room into 8 sectors but from my past experience, the influence of the 8 divisions is very small or minute. As compared with the eight sectors in a larger setting e.g. a full apartment. Already, the Eight House is not a greater `scorer' of marks. And in my opinion, such a sub-division adds to or has minimal effects. It is best to still keep the bed within good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Dear Anon, I not gone thru based on Eight House (good facing direction). However, please see below for my comments:- Based on your second description here, option 1 is preferred. As an overhead cabinet is not favourable for two reasons: 1. It acts more like a supression (beam). 2. If one notice carefully, usually the edge or corner of the overhead cabinet may act as a poison arrow towards the body of a person. Usually, if there are space constraints, option 1 is preferred. Dear Eugene, To clarify, when you mentioned "south of the building" does it mean that the frontage is at the north. And that the huge lake is at the back of the building. If so, what is the distance from the lake. Would you be possible to draw a sketch of your building, in relation to the outline of the lake and high-way (with a top-down prespective) which can relatively indicate the distance and outline e.g. the highway is moving towards your building or parallel or curing inwards etc... Dear Jack, There are two ways to see the use of water in Feng Shui:- 1. On a scientific basis, water positions is looked at in conjuction with Feng Shui theories : Shapes and Forms & Flying Star. Dear Yang Ming, So long as there is no direct path of `air' from the main entrance to the back, then this is not an issue. Yes a set of beads can be hung at the kitchen entrance. Dear Marie, Usually, more importantly, the people who will missed one's loved one. And it is more of the love. Locally, it is a tradition, for some to even buy an altar (if the home does not have one) or not necessarily an altar but a specific table to place one' loved one (urn). And where possible:- 1. This should not be placed on the opposite wall of a toilet 2. If possible, the table (or generally we call it the altar table) should not be facing into a bedroom. Dear Aggeliki, Currently in the internet, the most language used is English. And majority of Feng Shui resources available (in the internet/web) are in English. As Chinese sites progress or Taiwanese sites progress, usually the main media is in Mandarin. Frankly, it is hard to find resources in your own language. Dear Anon, In Feng Shui, where the kitchen door face the front door, it is good not to expose cutlery e.g. forks or knifes (if there is a kitchen table top) facing the door. Otherwise, there is not much one can do here. A stove can still face the refrigerator. However, hopefully, this is not the north part of the house or the kitchen is not at the north compass direction. Where, fire element is quite weak. Overall, such a senario you mentioned: cannot be undone unless there is a renovation involved i.e. there is no `magic' involved unless there is physical renovations involved here.
