One of the best method is often to allow qi to flow into the room. Especially if the water star "is close" to the window area. Simple thing like after a heavy rain, ventilate the room. There are two options: Option 1. D.I.Y. (do it yourself)or Option 2. Get yourself on-site advice - as usually a geomancer will often apply the proper tools; do a survey and study and make recommendations to you. With your limited info; it is difficult or near to impossible to help you, here. For example, there are lots of info needed such as the compass directions, when the block was built, family particulars; how far, how high is the unit..... and more.... If you want to D.I.Y; then in my opinion, you need lots of patience and lots and lots of understanding ....... For this reason, many considered Option 2.

1. Since I believe she (could) be in Malaysia; it is worth considering getting expert help i.e. from a Geomancer in your country. 2. As frankly, short description(s) like what you had mentioned; is difficult to evaluate upon the limited information given. As it is also looking at whether the river is parallel to; curved in or outwards; which direction the water flows in relation to her new home. 3. Usually, there is another element: especially for older homes close to a river is the concern of white termites - this is controllable and not Feng Shui.

1. In many of the recent messages, I had stressed that Shapes and Forms has a critical component: Qi. Here, with much understanding of how qi flows e.g. in a room. 2. 1. If you refer to "stars" as "stars" belonging to the Flying Star theory, then:- 1.1. For example, a sector may have Mountain Star #5 with Water Star #9 and base star #2. 1.2. In this simple illustration:- #5 = earth element (significance = misfortune, sickness) #9 = fire element (simply fire element) 1.3. In this example, the water star #9 is not good as the combination of #5 with #9 means that under the Five Elements concept Fire #9 fuels or triggers a more nastier #5.
