Dear Cecil, I always thought my house direction is SW2 because the whole frontage of my house faces SW2. If I stand in front of my front door or stand behind the front door with a compass, the direction is also SW2. But then I came across your answer to a question that asked you how to determine the direction of a house. Your answer was to stand in the center of the house with a compass aiming the center for the front door. if I do that my house direction is S2. So is my house S2 or SW2?

Dear Sifu, Mom just bought a house but kitchen very small. From dining hall walk into kitchen entrance ( no door) directly is the stove and next to stove ( one step tiles up but stick together) is the Sink. Is it ok? If I can’t move any where else, what can I do? And the Fridge is opposite the Sink. Please Help mom. Thank You

Hi Cecil, I am looking at a hdb flat, but the kitchen, living room and one bedroom is not squarish or rectangular...... It is at an angle like the number 7. Is it OK to buy such a layout pls?

Hi, My husband and I have bought land and now need to build a house on it. I know period 8 is ending and period 9 is beginning so it is hard to figure out what direction to face the house to build it. We would be building the home during 2022-2023 and move in the end of 2023. We can face our house any direction between 65-135 degrees. We would like to get the best direction from you. The lot is higher ground in the front and lower ground behind. We were putting a water feature (pool) in the rear of the home. We are West Group couple. Thank you for your help. Deborah

Hello Cecil, If I stand behind the front door of my new house (period 7, 1995) with the compass in my palm facing the door, the compass reading is 78 deg (E1). However, if I stand in the CENTER of the house with the compass in my palm facing the front door, it reads 56 deg (NE3). Which is the direction of my front door, E1 or NE3?

Dear Cecil, The flying star chart for the North Sector of my E1, period 7 house is 5 (Mountain) vs 1 (Water). Base star is 3. I know I should avoid bright yellow and green because of 5 and 3. What about a Black Lacquer Screen in this sector, is it ok? Thank you, Hoa

Hi. Is there any ideal measurement (height, width, base) for ancestral tablets? We are customising one for mum. And looking at 6 inches width for words with a one inch border on each side and a 11.5 inch height and and a 4 inch base.

Hello, I want to ask the master if I can put the stove + oven in on the north wall of the kitchen, only it is 30 cm away from the sink, because I am kua 1, my husband is kua 7, my daughter is kua 5, my mother-in-law is kua 2. Hi Sir I live in a HDB in SG. My front door and gate faces my neighbor's front door and gate directly due to HDB design. Recently my new neighbor has pointed his Front Gate Frame Black. His Front Gate itself has remained the same default design from HDB. Will like to ask if there's any implication in regards to Feng Shui? As in, would it affect us? Hello Cecil lee Hope you are doing well. Below is the extract from Geomany website A house with a Parent String chart enjoys very auspicious wealth and relationship luck when the ruling star is present. What if the ruling star is not present but still forms a parent string i.e. combination of 1,4,7 or 2,,5,8 or 3,6,9.. Dear Cecil, I'm bidding for a house that was originally built in 1940. However, this house was just recently renovated from top to bottom. The original house was completely gutted inside. All the walls, windows, doors, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are completely newly built. In fact the inside looks like a new, modern house. Does this renovation constitutes a change to period 8? Dear Dr. Lee, Soon I will be signing a lease on a new apartment. I am new to feng shui, so I just found out that living in a triangle shaped building is not recommended.
