  1. So you're saying that as long as one can somehow justify their reasoning then it is valid? There is no hard and fast rule about this career bazi stuff?? Then is there a point in even taking it seriously or following it?
  2. Thanks for the reply. Do you think working in an Earth industry on a Macro level, even if one is not doing an Earth type job, is better than working in an Earth type job? Another somewhat related question. I paid for a standard Bazi of my daughter. It says she is a strong Water person and says Fire job is good for Wealth and Earth job is good for Power. For her Fire job analysis, she has 2 Earned Wealth and 3 Unexpected Wealth, and for the Earth job, she has 2 Authority only. Also it says her Career Star is the Creative Star. I remember one of your web pages said that Music and Art are counted as a Water element activities, that means they are not so good for her right? However she has a natural talent for music and art and draws very well and is a talented violinist who is doing very well in her music. She loves playing the violin too. So does it mean it's not going to be good for her? However being a professional musician involves playing to many audiences for money or for pleasure. It is no use just sitting at home playing to oneself or to one's family and friends only - this is something her violin teacher is keen to emphasise. He himself was a very talented violinist and he doesn't believe in playing an instrument for the sake of earning grades. He believes the point of playing music is to entertain others, and he is always encouraging her and giving her opportunities to play violin with other children in an orchestra, or play in public performances. Am I right in thinking that the performance/entertainment industry aspect of being a musician is a Fire industry/career? And in that case, does that mean that it actually suits her to become a performing violinist? She does enjoy playing and perfoming in front of audiences! That is something I don't have myself - I was quite good at piano but I have stage fright and don't like performing for others, so I never did anything with my piano training although I went all the way to Grade 8 (my mother did push me a bit). Also, my daughter loves animals. She would like working with animals too if she could. She doesn't mind if she doesn't become a vet. She would be happy even being a vet nurse or a dog sitter. I'm just wondering if it is worth continuing to help her down the violinist path as it is costing us a fortune in terms of time, money and effort. I have to take her to violin lessons and to children's orchestra every week, plus exams, rehearsals, etc. I don't know if it is worth it in the end, although she says to me now she loves violin too much to give it up. What should I do?
  3. My Career report says I cannot benefit from certain jobs unless I am in "constant contact with Earth". Can you please explain to me how do I go about doing that? Is it standing on the ground? (aren't we always doing that?) Or is it working in an Earth industry? Or is it wear Earth-coloured clothes?? What does it mean to be in "constant contact with Earth"?
  4. I have a few questions concerning my children's paid Ba Zi readings. For my son (born 23rd August 2008), it says he's weak wood andfavourable elements arewater and wood, unfavourable elements are fire and metal. However in his Balance of Elements Chart, it says his fire elementis 0% and needs to be increased. His water element is 26% and is Acceptable (Reduce Element). I'm confused becausenow I'm not sure ifhe shouldavoid fire! I'm also not sure anymore if water is indeed favourable for him anymore! For my eldest daughter (born 19th October 2002), it says she's strong metal and favourable elements are water and fire. Yet in her Balance of Elements Chart, it says her fire element is 21% (Balance)and doesn't need to be increased or reduced. Is Fire still a favourable element for her, then?? Or should she just not have too many red things around her anymore? It says her Wood Element is 0% and needs increasing, so does that mean she should have more wood element stuff around her?? Please advice Master Lee. Regards, Rachel
  5. Hi my baby boy was born at 4.58 pm last Saturday (23 Aug 2008). Its stillBritish Summer Time over here right now, which means the clocks are set 1 hour faster than in the winter months (in other words, now all the clocks in UK are set to GMT +1 because its still summertime, but in winter monthsfromlate Octoberto late March, the clocks in UK are all set to GMT +0). My question is : If I want to obtain a bazi element report for my son, do I use the monkey hour or the dog hour as his hour of birth (since he was born last Saturday 23rd Aug 2008 at 4.58pm British Summer Time GMT +1 )???
  6. Thanks so much, you have put my mind at ease!
  7. My husband snores terribly and we both toss and turn a lot in our sleep, hencewe have not been sleeping on the same bed for the past 3 years. We still sleep in the same bedroom (master bedroom), but we sleep on separate beds - each of us has our own double bed! I recently heard from a ladythat its not good luckfor married couples to sleep on separate beds! But I alsoknow of other married couples whosleep on separate bedsbecause of snoring, etc. so I don't think me and my husband are alone here. It doesn't bother us that we sleep on different beds -in fact weget a betternight's sleep from it (I know I do, especially!)-but is it really a problem and will it lead to something bad in our marriage if we continue to sleep this way?? I'm asking this now because my husband's considering throwing his mattress and buying a new one because its hurting his back, and we are contemplating whether to just buy him a new mattress, or throw both our beds and buy a super king size bed (which is the biggest bed we can buy)?
  8. Hi,are there any concernsif the following applies to my home?? a) The Health sector happens to be where the toilet is b)The Prosperity sector is at the entrance/front door area. c) The Excellent sector is in the kitchen. Any things I can do to improve luck (apart from implementing fengshui measures based on my Flying Star chart report??)? Thanks! By the way, my husband (main breadwinner) is a West person, but the flat's facing direction (i.e. the direction with the windows and scenery)is SE (Irritation). The main door of the flat however, is in NW (Prosperity). Would this flat still be considered unlucky for him?
  9. I'm a weak metal person, would it be harmful for me to have an aquarium even though it is for fengshui purposes (i.e. water feature as recommended by Flying Stars chart)? My husband is weak wood, my daughters are strong metal and strong water respectively.
  10. Edited by Robert: Combined the 3 post into a single one. Post 1: Dear Master Lee, sorry accidentally deleted the message while posting the picture! What I wanted to ask is, does the bedrest of this bed in the picture resemble Chinese coffin, which you said must avoid?? I know the bedrest in the picture is obstructed by pillows, so cannot see it... but you can see the footrest clearly in the picture, and it is exactly the same shape as the bedrest. What do you think, Master Lee? Regards, Rachel Post 2: Also, is it not good if the footrest of the bed is higher than the bedrest??

    Piano

Hi Master Lee, what element is a piano? Is it considered woodelement (because the outercasing and the keyboardis made ofwood)or metal element (because of the metalstrings inside) or water element(because it produces music)? I'm considering where to placemypianoafter moving intoa newflat. Thanks! Regards, Rachel
  12. Edited by Robert: Merged 2nd post into this post Dear Master Lee, Iwould like to know if a weak metal woman born in year of the Earth Horse is compatible with a weak woodman born in year of the Wood Rabbit ? Idon't know if it matters for compatibility, but the summary of each person's summary of elements are as follows : Weak Metal woman (Earth Horse): 1 Strongest Water, 1 Strong Wood, 7 Extremely Weak Fire, 2 Weakest Earth, 1 Weak Metal Weak Wood man (Wood Rabbit): 0 Extremely Weak Water, 1 Weakest Wood, 0 Weak Fire, 5 Strongest Earth, 2 Strong Metal P.S. Is there such a thing as a true incompatibility? Such that 2 people can never be compatible no matter what. Thanks!
  13. In addition to my first point, I'd also like to add that the binding elements between me and my husband is Earth and Wood, so does that mean that I also have to try and incorporate some Earth into the room as well, to satisfy the advice given by the Flying Star Paid Report, and also to satisfy the favourable elements of each of us, and the binding elements for all of us? Please advice! Thanks!
  14. Our house has only 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom is largest, twice the size of the other bedroom. However its occupied by Mountain2 Facing9 Earth1 and Mountain4 Facing2 Earth3 palaces. Whereas the other bedroom, though tiny, is occupied by Mountain9 Facing7 Earth8 palace. In Eva Wong's Flying Star Fengshui book, she advocates "matching occupants to the bedrooms", wherethe EarthBase star of the bedroom should be of an element which is favourable toan occupant's Kua element. For example, if my Kua element is2- Earth, I should try to take bedrooms which have Earth Base star of 9 because 9 belongs to Fire element, which is supposed to be nourishing for my 2-Earth (Kua) element. Ihave not seen you mention anything on your forum about matching people to their respective bedrooms based on such a technique. I must admit, life seems "easier" when one doesn't have to take into account such a technique, because if I follow that advice, it will turn out that the master bedroom is not at allbeneficial formy husband or my daughter, and I might have to sleep alone in the master bedroom while my husband and daughter sleep in the small second bedroom! However, I have read somewhereon your forum that you advise owners of the house to sleep in the master bedroom even if the room may not be that favourable compared to the smaller bedroom. Besides, I think its a crazy idea to sleep apart from my husband and daughter. So we have decided to sleep in the master bedroom. All 3 of us - my daughter in particular is very young and cries if she has to sleep on her own. I hope this is therightdecision!
  15. I recently purchased a flying star report from you and have queries about its advice. 1) For the master bedroom, the stars Mountain2 Facing9 and Earth1 occupy the area. Its Five Element Analysis says to utilise Metal (white/gold) to exhaust/weaken Earth. This is fine for me as I'm a weak Metal, but my husband is a weak Wood and my daughter is a strong Metal, so both of them are advised to avoid Metal elements. Howcan westrike a balance between all our lucky colours and the element advised by the Flying Stars report to neutralise the malevolent 2 Earth star??? Do we put in a mix ofMetal and Water/Wood(my husband and daughter's favourable elements)in the same bedroom? And in terms of quantity,is there acertain proportionof each element to utilise? For example, do we place more of Metal element in the room because it can notonly neutralise the 2 Earth star but also is my favourable element, and place smalleramounts of Water and Wood element in the room because those elements arefavourable elements of my husband and daughter??Please advice! 2) Ourfront door faces SE and the stars are Mountain7 Facing5 Earth6.The report advised us to use Water at the front door area to exhaust/weaken Metal. My husband has alreadyplaced his fish tank near the front door. I hope that is enough Water to exhaust Metal, as per the report's advise. 3) Thecentre ofour house isthe main hallway that links the living room to the other parts of the house. But with such stars as Mountain8, Facing6 and Earth7 occupying the central palace of our house, I thought maybe placing the fish tank there would be better, as I read in Eva Wong's book that placing a fish tank/bowl with 6 dark coloured fishes in it will neutralise the threat ofrobbery/losses caused by a combination of a 6 and 7 star in the palace. However I read in your forum that you often advise people not to place water - fish tank or toilet - in the centre of the house as that will signify either wealth draining away from the house or that the owners will suffer difficulties. Thus we decided not to place the fish tank there even though it might neutralise the negative effects of the 6 and 7 star combination in the central palace. 4) As the backdoor that leads to the garage is in the palace occupied by auspicious stars : Mountain1 Facing8 and Earth9, and the fact that we often utilise the backdoor to go in and out of the house (because it provides easy access to the car in the garage), should we regard that palace as the facing palace? Thus maybe I have made a mistake in generating a flying star report based on the facing palace of the main door, which is in theopposite direction?? Please advice. Thanks !!
  16. The colours of the numbers are only red, black or blue. There's no green, so does a black number symbolise auspicious, inauspicious or average??? I'm assuming that red symbolises inauspicious and blue represents auspicious. Please tell me if I'm right! Thanks!
  17. I have received my paid Flying Star report. I noticed that apart from red (inauspicious), green (average) and blue (auspicious) colour-coded palaces, there were also 2 grey-and-white colour-coded palaces, and 3 yellow colour-coded palaces. I have absolutely no idea what grey-and-white palaces, and yellow palaces, really mean. Are they auspicious, inauspicious, or what??? Please help! Thanks!
  18. Thanks for the reply Master Lee. I am not very sure about the way to find out the 8 mansions direction for the bedrooms in my house. Could you tell me how to go about finding out the 8 mansions direction for the 2 bedrooms in my house, or can you direct me to an online resource for doing so? If its not too troublesome for you,are youin fact able totell me which bedroom is best for my daughter just based on the following information?? Bedroom 1 is located rightabove the entrance of the houseand the living area. Ithas windows facing the same direction as the front door (SE2) but the entrance to the bedroom is facing the exact opposite direction of SE2 (NW2). Bedroom 2 on the other hand, has windows facing the exact opposite of SE2 (NW2) but the entrance to the room is facing NE. My daughter's kua is born on 19 Oct 2002 at 6.40 a.m. According to your free report, herkua numberis8 and her element is strong metal.
  19. Master Lee, what you mentioned in this article about you being able to "see" or "feel" evil presences because you are a weak wood person was very interesting to me. My husband is a weak wood person, and I am weak metal. We are both "weak" people, but my husband is the one who often claims that he "sees"spiritsand even felt "attacked" by a spirit before. However, I have often dismissed his allegations in the past. I never once saw or felt any spirits in my life, even though I often come in contact with people who could see such things. Even when I lived withmy father for 21 years of my life - my father is a fanaticwho indulges in Thai cult buddhism -keeps lots of weird statues andevenkeepsa "little ghost" to increase his wealth luck - I have never once seen or felt any spirit stuff. That's why in the past I always dismissed people's claims of seeing or feeling the presence of ghosts as "its just their imagination playing tricks on them". But after reading your article, I am starting to believe that maybe my husband was not having a wild imagination after all! Do you think that only weak wood people can see or feel evil spirits better than others?? Because I wonder why I myself never had such experiences even though I'm very open to them.
  20. I'm interested to know what element(s)do the following careers belong to. Do they all belong to Earth or are they a mix? 1) Archaeologist (studiesfossils, ancient history and civilization, excavates ancient sites/digs for ancient remains of bones and ancient tools for scientific analysis) 2) Gardener (grows flowers, plants, but also tends to the soil) 3) Geologist (a scientist who studies the origin, composition, processes, structure andhistory of the Earth, often goes on field trips to collect data related to Earth activity)
  21. Hi Master Lee, thanks for the very detailed explanation! I just checked my Ten Deities Summary and I'm not sure if its directly related to what you've just said, but please tell me if it is! In the Ten Deities Summary, it says there that my "Main Funds" (zheng yin), represented by Earth, is 5. And then my "Unexpected Funds" (pian yin), represented by Earth again, is 2.Could this bean additionalexplanation forthe reason why you recommend me to pursue an Earth element career in orderto strengthen my element(weak metal)?
  22. Dear Master Lee, thank you for replying! I still have one more question regardingthe "classification" of jobs into elements. You mentioned somewhere else in the forum that today's jobs seldom involve only one element. I totally agree. In fact, many jobs today can involve the skills related to2 or 3 different fengshuielements! Even Civil Engineering, which is listed on your Elements reference page as belonging to the Earth element, actually involves a great deal of physics and maths- scientific discipline and technology... which, if I were to look under your reference page, science and technology actually belongs more to Wood element than to Earth. Thus, wouldn't Civil Engineering (or any kind of engineering) actually involve quite a bit of "wood" element in it, asengineering isclosely connected to science and technology? When you say a certain element is to be avoided - for example, in my case, it is Water and Fire, do you mean that if I ever attempted to do Chemical-related or Computer-engineering, I would be really bad at them? Or do you mean that I would just be very unlucky in those careers - i.e. bosses don't like me, fall ill or get injured very often, no career progression?? What if I am quite good in Chemistry and maths, for example? Would I still be able to take on a Fire related job like Chemical Processing?
