  1. Hi Cecil! Sorry about bad illustration. The garage is at the apex of a large "L" formed by the two alleys.
  2. Hello Cecil: The alley empties into Garage #1. It has a large door located exactly at the apex of the two alleys. Besides hanging a Bagua (which many Westerners don't use) would painting a semi-circular "doormat" with rays, on the pavement in front of Garage #1 be a cure? The sides of the garage can't be blocked (parking access) with planter trees or fudogs (there is enough space for garbage cans there). The alley is behind the property. Garage #2 used black tar paving in a semi-circle at it's alley entrance (assuming for smoother parking). /////////////////////// /GGGGGG#1 / ALLEY / / G / G / G / G / G / G#2 / ALLEY Since this is the back of the property, how do you rate it's importance? Thank you for your help!
  3. Hello Cecil: Is it better to buy a metal bed (headboard) for a weak metal child or is it better to have a more neutral whitewashed pine? Thank you!
  4. Hello Cecil! If there is a closet in the center of the house (in a support section for the house), is is best to leave it empty, sacrificing the storage, or are there items that can be safely stored in it (i.e. vacum cleaner, ladder, mops)? I remember you advised everyone not to have water features (like a fishtank) in the center or under the stairs, if they are centered, and to be careful about what you put there. Thank you!
  5. I have a hunch in Western Astrology this "rest period" corresponds to "Moon Void-of-Course". The transiting moon takes approximately two days to travel through each sign of the zodiac. "In between" the signs is a void period. It is best not to conduct important work (such as a new audit/question) during this time period. It does not mean stop living (joke) just that it's an inauspicious time and you wait until after the void is over. Just curious as to the "why". Impressed that this information will be included in the FS course. Thank you.
  6. Dear Cecil: In your reply to "The missing link between Shapes & Form and Compass Schools" you mention in Point 6 that doing calculations by computer is "better" sometimes than by hand/eye. Are you referring to the "psychic drain" like an opera singer or artist experiences after working?
  7. Hello Cecil! My husband wants to invest in a super energy efficient unit that combines the heater with the air conditioner for our house. Our house has no attic, so this unit would be installed on the roof - it cannot be used on the ground. The technician says the unit will not be visible from the street, makes no noise and is built on special supports for safety. The unit would be put directly in the middle of the roof of the house(!). It would be beneficial to the value of the house and comfort of it's residents. BUT is this beneficial in terms of FS? It makes me nervous that the only spot this unit can be in the exact middle (intangible forces)of the roof. BUT if it isn't visible from the street, can't be heard and is energy efficient does that satisfy the FS requirements of the "can't see it, not a problem" school? It's too hot here to live without AC, and sometimes the nights get very chilly so we need the heater. Right now the heater is closed off in a secret closet off almost the exact center of the house and I purposely don't turn it on because it is close to the center of the house (your center bathroom theory). There is no AC at all. We can just leave everything the way it is, and just install a small AC unit outside, but the energy efficient unit adds tremendously to the resale value of the house. What do you think? Thank you for your help (as always)!
  8. Hello Cecil: What do you recommend to cure the problem of a blue roof? I know someone that is renting a house with a blue roof and the landlord won't repaint it. Aside from moving or sneaking a new paint job (which could get her in trouble), is there ANYTHING that can be done to it? Thank you!
  9. We have ceiling support beams all throughout our house. I find them attractive even though I know it's bad FS. Because they are so high up I had to wait a while to buy a ladder tall enough for me to put up the cures. In fact, I was constantly irritated, especially before bed and I blamed it on my 8 House bedroom layout. Within two days of putting up the cures,I noticed a reduction in irritability not only in myself, but husband and baby (neither of them "practice FS" LOL) I recommend everyone with beams to make an effort, get that ladder, and apply the proper cure, you won't regret it.
  10. Hi Cecil! We went out to dine at a very nice restaurant. It won an excellence award, the food was great and one of the owners was a very nice, gracious lady. However, I couldn't help but notice, they had almost no customers on a Saturday night (big night to go out to dinner here). The woman told me sadly that they are just breaking even and there were four failed restaurants there previously. As we were leaving, I lingered in the doorway to survey the place. Aside from the requisite tree across the street blocking their entrance (surprise, surprise)across the street is a huge, 25 story world bank building. It is quite impressive, all silver reflective surface. It definitely towers over the restaurant and oppresses it. I told her re: your Triangle Effect theory but don't know what to suggest re: the bank except put a huge (tasteful)neon sign to call attention to their roof to passersby. Also, in this situation there are three equal owners, so who would you use to determine favorable door direction? What do you think? I don't want such a tasty restaurant to close! LOL Thank you!
  11. Dear Anon: Just a gentle reminder: I think Cecil and Robert are very busy building the Flying Star Course for all of us to enjoy and use to enhance our lives and it's unfair to make it sound like they are holding back the info from us. They would never release instruction that wasn't impeccably put together. I really appreciate their sincere efforts and just wait patiently for the course to come out and I think you should too. Important info like the Mountain and Water Star shouldn't be just "dumped out" on the general public. Also, I always sign my messages, Sincerely, Elena Wagner
  12. In your reply to a metal cure question, you mentioned it's also possible to use 6 stars cut out of foil. What size (dimensions) should be used, and if you choose a circle, are the dimensions the same? Thank you!
  13. Dear Cecil: I have three connected questions: 1) The master bedroom is my husband's Prosperity section, child's Excellent (baby sleeps with us) my Irritation. Per Forum info I have strengthened my weak water element in this room by employing soft blue colors and using brown furniture (per Pillars binding advice). Is there any other decorating device I can use in this room to lessen my "irritation" (especially right before bed LOL)? 2) There are support beams in the room. I can't get chinese coins so I will use red paper and foil wrap. I plan to trace US quarter size and cut it out and place it on the envelope size red paper. Is this right for the job? 3) The Flying Star report shows a metal cure is needed in the room. Will the beam cure do "double duty" or do I need to place another packet on another beam (total four beams in room) also? Thank you for all your wonderful advice.
  14. Hello! I just bought a reproduction of Monet's Water Lillies (called Nympheas. It's a small picture 2 feet by 20 inches. I want to put over my dressing table which is outside the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom. Is this OK? Otherwise, can I hang it over the couch? (Couch is green, the picture is more green of the flowers than bluewater). Or don't hang water pics over couch in livingroom? Thank you!
  15. I am interested in finding out how to apply your Plus Equilibrium Theory to a cul de sac. As FS practice, I have been walking around my new neighborhood and noticed quite a few cul de sacs in the blocks nearby. How do you put a water feature on a public road in front of the houses? I avoiding buying a house on a cul de sac because I wasn't clear on the FS rules governing such configurations. When in doubt, don't buy it. Thank you.
  16. I applaud your idea to write a book using humor to educate the general public regarding all the charlatans practising FS & readings out there. I am a Western astrologer, constantly appalled at the horror stories of my clients tell of readers before they found me. The Forum user who wrote in re: being afraid of a medium's ghost is typical of the fear con artists put into their client's heads and then milk them for money. I hope that everyone will do some research into the "readers" they use BEFORE getting a reading. Unfortunately, a lot of clients want flash and pazzaz and just aren't happy unless some "Magic Bullet Remedy" is suggested (to buy). I tell everyone that the real magic is in yourself and the power of your will, and while readings and Feng Shui in general are a wonderful help "God does help those who help themselves". Thank you for letting me air my opinions.
  17. If your Pillars (for example)shows you to be a weak Water, with too much Fire, the cure is to enhance the water - BUT, does this also mean to embrace Water Qualities - so instead of being more energetic, one needs to be more passive?
  18. Is the color beige considered an earth (cure) color? Thank you!
  19. Much to my chagrin, I discovered the water heater is in a hidden closet almost in the center of the house we just bought. My husband has agreed to move it to another location when we renovate the house in a year. What can I do in the meantime to counteract any negative FS and is it as bad as having a bathroom in the center or not? Thank you!
  20. Dear Cecil: According to our Pillars, I am a weak water, husband weak metal, child, weak metal. I would like to paint our new house a soft grey color with white trim. I was considering black trim also as a nice contrast - a black front door with shiny brass hardware might also look nice. Right now the house has an old tired coat of beige paint and hunter green trim. It really needs a new paint job! Is this an auspicious color choice for our family? Thank you!!!
  21. Hello! The house we just bought needs a full paint job outside. Escrow won't close until Feb.12, 2000 so we can't paint until after the Duke changes. The front door faces South (160 degrees) (and we want to put on a new front door). Should we wait a year to do this? Or does a huge renovation like this supercede the Duke rules because the whole house is being "disturbed"?
  22. I am interested in the schedule for Forum chat rooms but not sure where to locate this information. Thank you!
  23. If an area requires a fire remedy and you use a lamp, does the lamp have to be on 24 hours a day?Is using a small nightlight sufficent instead of a lamp? You had referenced this once, but I couldn't find it again. On the forum, an alternate cure is listed as red thread. How long/thick should the thread be? Does it have to hang from the ceiling to floor? Thank you!
  24. We have two bedrooms with very small windows high up towards the ceiling on the only walls in the rooms feasible to properly position the beds in each room. Should the windows be covered to make the occupant feel more secure (even though they are so high up)? Thank you!
  25. Would closing the bedroom door when going to sleep alleviate any problems from having one quarter of the bed (not full bed)in the line of sight of the doorway?
