  1. Hello Cecil,
Thank you very much for your speedy and detailed response for the bagua mirror.
My staircase is right in the center of my house. From my search on this website, you told someone to place a mirror at the landings to deflect qui upward. Can I place the type D bagua mirror at each of my landings (I have two landings) for this purpose?
    Sincerely,
    Hoa

  2. Hello Cecil,
Outside my house, there is a big tree that slices my front door. This tree belongs to my neighbor accross the street. From what I've researched here, that's a poison arrow! and I need to hang a convex ba-gua mirror above my front door to counter this poison arrow. What type of material should this bagua mirror be made out of? My front door is in the South (fire) sector of my house. According to the POD report, my birth element is weak water and my most favorable element is metal. My worst element is earth and 2nd worst is wood.
The bagua mirrors I've seen in the market so far are either made wood or brass. The ones made of wood are either painted either brown or yellow. Which of these bagua mirror should I buy to hang above my front door?
Thank you very much for your help.

  3. Hello Cecil,
Last week, someone broke into my convenience store. We had alarm inside so the thief didn't take much. However, it did cost me a lot of money to replace the glass window for my store. In order to prevent this type of breaking-in again, I'm thinking about install a steel security gate for my store windows. My store windows are in the SOUTH sector of the building and they also face south. I remember you told someone not to do anything against grand duke since the South direction is against him during this year of the horse. By installing the security gate for my Southern facing windows, will I violate this grand duke theory? If I shouldn't do this during this year, then what are the cures for thievery/robbery that I can use temporarily until this year of the horse is over?
    Thank you very much,
    Hoa

  4. Hello Cecil,
    to anwer your questions:
    1. I just recently purchased a gas station with a convenient store. This convenient store is what I'm asking you about.
    2. The building is made of steel painted greyish white, and the frontage of the store was also painted greyish white.
    3. About 24 inches from the ground up in the frontage of the store is solid steel painted greyish white. The rest of the front is all glass. Right now, the lower half of the glass frontage is covered up with a black film so you cannot see through it. The upper half is all clear see-through glass wall.
    4. The frontage of the store faces South, and so does the front door.
    5. In front of the convenient store is off course the gas dispensers. Beyond that is the street. Across the street is another business building with small shops. This building across the street is painted a light grey color.
    6. Despite my building is steel, the front door for the convenient store is made out of wood. A large section in the middle of the front door is all clear glass. I painted the wood part of the front door the color RED when I just bought the gas station. I had read somewhere that the red color will bring good luck if the front door is painted red. So far none of my customers had complained about the red color. But ever since I started learning Feng Shui, I don't know if the RED color for the front door and the BLACK film that covers the lower half of the front glass wall are good for my business since red is fire and black is water and my POD best element is metal and second best is water. I'm a weak water with a gua number of 7 metal. According to my eight-house report, the south direction (fire) is a spook direction.
Any feedback you give me in term of what color is best for the frontage of the store (the lower half of the glass wall and the front door) would be greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Hoa

  5. Hello Cecil,
According to the Pillar of Destiny Report, I was born in the year of the monkey, gua number is metal 7, birth element is weak water. This is totally different from the Chinese Astrology book that I read. According to this book, I was also born in the year of the monkey, but it said my birth element is fire.
When we input the birth time to get an accurate profile for these report on Geomancy.net, WHAT TIME ZONE is the birth time based on? Let's look at an example of one person who was born at 10:30 am in Vietnam and another was born at 10:30 am in the US in 1956. As you know, 10:30 am in Vietnam is definitely not the same as 10:30 am in the US.
    Sincerely,
    Hoa

  6. Hello Cecil,
There are two empty bedrooms in my house, one of which can be used as my work office since I work from home. Bedroom A sits half above the dining room and half above the patio (also half of this bedroom is located in the North sector and the other half is located in the Northeast sector of my house). Bedoom B sits half above the kitchen and half above the garage (this bedroom is located in the West sector of my house).
My gua number is 7 and according to the work direction report, my best work position faces Northwest and West and good postion faces Northeast and Southwest. So Bedroom B makes more sense since it faces West. However it sits right above the kitchen and garage and from what I've searched so far, that's bad. So far I haven't found anything saying that bedroom sitting above dining room and patio is bad. Should I use Bedroom A or B as my office?
    Thank you very much,
    Hoa
PS: My birth element is weak water and my best element is metal and 2nd best is water.

  7. Hi Cecil,
Now that I know where the center of my house. I have a few more questions:
    1) Is the direction for my bedrooms related to the house center? Example, my master bedroom is located in the southwest sector of the house and my master bathroom is located in the south sector of the house. Can I assume that my master bedroom faces southwest and my master bathroom faces south?
    2) The master bedroom is right above 1/3 portion of the garage. Is that bad and what's the cure?
    3) The master bathroom's toilet is right above the front door (which sits in the South "spook" sector and my gua number is seven). I know this is bad, but what is the cure for this?
    4) My prosperity sector is northwest and it's right in the middle of the 1/2 bath (downstairs) and 2nd full bath (upstairs). My finances seem going downhill lately. Besides closing the toilet doors, is there anything else I can do to fix this problem?
    5) According to shape and form FS, the staircase should not be in the center of the house. Well, mine is right in the center of my house. What can I do to fix this? Relocate the stairs is out of question.
    6) Outside, my front door directly faces a big tree. What should I do? I cannot cut the tree down because it's not mine.
    7) Inside, my front door directly faces a big window. I have placed a big palm tree in front of the window. This area, by the way, is my living room (which is in the East "death" sector). I have a big BLACK lacquer screen made out of wood. Would this big BLACK lacquer screen be appropriate to place between the door and window? Also in this area is a big brick fireplace. Since wood (East sector) is in conflict with Brick (earth), what can I do to cure this if it is a problem?
    8) last but not least, do you ever go to the USA for consultation?
Thank you very much in advance,
    Hoa Luong

  8. Dear Cecil,
Thank you very much for your speedy response.
Yes, I did use your compass method to locate the center and direction of the main entrance. I'm a female and my "gua" number is 7 which says my best main entrance is West direction (which my garage door faces). My "real" front door is EITHER in the Southeast sector "irritation" (if I take the garage into consideration when locating the house center, point B on the floor plan) OR in the South sector "spook" (if I exclude the garage when locating the house center, point A).
Question 1: Can I consider the garage door as my main entrance since it's the better direction for me and that's where I come in and out of my house most of the time and also where the house number is placed? Is there anything else I need to do to make it my main entrance?
Question 2: Attached are my building and my floor plans. Could you tell me which is my house center, A or B? Since I want to consider the garage door as my main entrance, should I include the garage in determining the center for my house?
Thank you very much. I think your website is the best of all the feng shui websites by the way.
    Sincerely,
    Hoa

  9. Dear Cecil:
Part 1: I mostly enter my house through the kitchen door that connects my garage (2 car garage attached to the house)and the kitchen. The house number is above the garage door, not the front door. I hardly use my front door at all. Question 1: Is the garage door my main entrance? (it faces West which is my best house direction). If not, then
Part 2: My front door faces the SouthWesst direction and that's the direction I always thought my front door faces until recently after I learned how to do spatial analysis using the eight house theory, according to which my front door sits in the South Sector (if I don't include the garage) or the SouthEast Sector (if I include the garage in the analysis). Question 2: Which direction does my front door face, southwest or south or southeast?
    Sincerely and Totally Confusingly Yours,
    Hoa Luong
