1. Some of the sectors you had mentioned used to be considered as harmonious to the placement of a water feature. Being "harmonious" does not always (often) equate to it as a water wealth location.

2. The key consideration is if you are able to draw a Flying Star Feng Shui chart. Or hire a competent practitioner to review your home Feng Shui.

2.1 Why Flying Star Feng Shui? What you had mentioned under Para 1 has to do with "fixed" or non-time dimension Feng Shui. And mostly to do with rudimentary concept of The Five elements. Where, in general, north = water element.

2.2 And under the Eight aspirations (another fixed non-time dimension) Feng Shui, north = career sector.. Etec..

3.1 Thus it is believed that a more accurate assessment should be made using Compass School Flying Star Feng Shui.

3.2 In many of my past forum messages, if it happensfor an existing home tobe able to tap " Water star #8 " e.g. this happens to becoincidentally at the balcony, then, #8 water or a water position can bring significant benefit as this is the current water wealth sector. (Subject to further analysis of what is theMountain Star # and Base # at that location). But overall, this is a potential site to enhance wealth in a home.

3.3 Under Para3.2, if one can install a water feature, this is considered as a "wealth enhancement". But water may be used to "drown" bad stars. Thus on one hand it helps to enhance wealth, sometimes, it may be used to"plug" leaks in a home. Flying Starcombinations ofdouble #7's and the likes of #5 with #2 etc..

4. Therefore, the benefit of using Flying Star is that in general, water position can be used either for :-
a. wealth enhancement : Such as Water star #8 (current properity) and even water star #1 (future prosperity- not now luck but luck for5 to 10 years down the road).

5.In the past, many less educated practitioners or even those learning and DIYFeng Shui, may only practise "kindergarten Feng Shui" as mentioned under Para 1. For example, east = wood element and water position at east is harmonious to it.

6. In general, under this Period 8, onemay consider activating a water feature, especially if the compass direction South-West falls in an openarea e.g. the frontage of a home oran appropriate living room!

7. But one should not be foolish in that if a waterwealth sector is found in a bedroom, don't ever activate it, there!

8. Nowadays, I begin to see a trend of "Commando Style" Feng Shui... not recommended (Not Strongly recommended).

Frankly, a statement such as this is either placing it thru your personal feelings or by "chance".

As mentioned previously, on this same topic; your statement has nothing to do with the way Authentic Traditional Feng Shui has been used to analyse a home as well as checking to see if a water position may be placed there.

Thus what you mentioned, is purely based on "personal feeling".
