July 4, 200916 yr Dear Master Cecil,My partner and Ilive in an apartment in the northern part of Shanghai, and as we are on the sixteenth floor, we have a clear view of the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the other skyscrapers from the South-facing windows of our living room (South-Southwest sectors) and bedroom (East sector). Does the tower count as inauspicious, since it is sharply pointed at the top, or auspicious because it has the two round 'pearls' on it? There is also the Jinmao Tower which has a square hole in the top, and other skyscrapers, but then again on smoggy days we can't see any of them anyway! : )If there are poison arrows coming towards our apartment, should we hang bagua mirrors outside both windows, or only one (which window?) or do something else entirely? We will only be living in this apartment for two more years so we'd prefer not to have to make costly changes to it.Thank you very much for any kind advice
July 4, 200916 yr Staff 1. In order to be "attacked" by a poision arrow, it is often the sharp corner of another mega building close-by.2. At sixteenth floor; so long as especially your unit living room window does not over-look at a "pole" like structure that directly slices the living room, then it does not pose an issue. For bedrooms, also, so long as it does not slice any of the rooms thru the bedroom, this is not an issue. However, a simple day curtain especially for a bedroom can easily help to "cover" it. Thus if it no longer is seen it no longer can create a poison arrow.3. This tower is significant especially if one has a child studying in a bedroom. For example, if the tower is to the right-hand side of the study table view, it implies that the child can achieve scholarly highs in his/her studies. The pearls are another thing.Polly K. wrote:Dear Master Cecil,My partner and Ilive in an apartment in the northern part of Shanghai, and as we are on the sixteenth floor, we have a clear view of the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the other skyscrapers from the South-facing windows of our living room (South-Southwest sectors) and bedroom (East sector).
