Hi!
My house faces NE 60? and the gate that as a road going in front of it, faces SE 150?.
What I would like to know, please, is what exterior color would be better, feng shui wise to paint the exterior of this house?
I am Kua (west) 8, my housband is Kua (east) 1, my eldest son is (east) 9 and my youngest son is (west) 7.
Can you answer this for me, please?
Best regards
S?nia

These are some of the considerations:-
1. What colour is the roof?
1.1. For example the roof tiles colour and best recommended colour(s):-
1.1.1 Clay tiles or orange roof = external walls colours can be just any colour range from white, beige to another other pastel colours
1.1.2 Grey roof tiles = best is white
1.1.3 Blue roof tiles = best is white
1.1.4 Green roof tiles = white or beige
2. In fact, when one tries to build a new home from scratch; it is about scanning the nearby environment to build a home that may "tower" over the rest of the other homes.
2.1 Thus, if majority of homes next to or opposite one's home has (just as an example) has dome shaped roof or a circular building; then one can develop one's home in a "fire element" shape. Here, fire destroys metal to create wealth.
Ref: http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm
2.2 Similarly, if mosf the homes nearby are rectangular in shape (earth element) then a home that is shaped in the element of say the wood element would be beneficial.
3. Thus, even if one wants to paint the home; scanning the neighbourhood; neighbour's homes and then determining the colour.
3.1. And for the exterior of the home; it is not so simplistic like my kua is, my husband's is and my children's are... this or that. Logically even if you furnish we the whole family or we call this Tom, Dick or Harry's gua number what is the use?
3.2. Since there is many family members with different kua or gua; more likely colour for say youngest son is different from husband and other family members? Then How? You want to paint your exterior in rainbow colours?
4. For painting of exterior; often it goes under Para 1 and Para 2 above. Not so much of what kua number one is. If the entire building has 100 tenants. So, what colour you want the exterior to be painted.
5. Most general neutral colour is : White. But under this Period 8; 2004 to 2023; in general again a good neutral colour is : beige or commonly known as barley white. While for colours like green, pink or violet or blue; this has to be studied in relation to near-by home features and their colours.

Further to what I had mentioned; these are some other considerations:-
1. In many instances; the colour of the exterior walls is dependent on external factors.
1.1. For example, in past forum messages; someone mentioned that his/her home is next to a cemetry.
1.2. In such a situation; often, a geomancer would recommend RED colour as the most yang colour on the walls facing the cemetry. Some cleverly use "natural" red brick walls that never need to be painted over.
2. Thus the above is a sterling example of the colour of the exterior of the wall has to be looked at in relation to the surrounding.
3. Myths:-
3.1. In the 1960s to 1980's and even today; some geomancers unfortunately still link the rudimentary concept of North = water; South = fire; Eart = green; West = white etc.. and thus if the home is facing North; the geomancer would recommend painting the home blue in accordance with such things.
3.2. However, this type of practise today is considered as Kindergarten type of Feng Shui. It is like the question listing the entire kua numbers of every Tom, Dick, Harry in the home. And then; tell me what colour to paint the home.
4. At the exterior of the home; so what if the home is facing say 60 degrees .. or 65 degrees etc... again; under Para 1; Shapes and Forms reign supreme. One has to consider the exterior profiles of the neighbourhood, first. And not work the exterior around the Flying Star chart.
5. Thus if one is not sure; the safest colour is white, white, white. (While for beige; refer to my earlier message on it's significance under Period 8).
