Is it inauspicious to be given a pakua mirror?

Is it better we buy our own pakua mirror should we need one and is there any reservation or is it a no-no to be given one especially by a stranger we just met. I ask cos in the past I met a fortune-teller for the first time and was given a pakua mirror. My luck went downhill subsequently and so I am now wondering whether there is some connection and linkage here.

1. Yes, in doubt better go with caution on such things.
2. Try to throw it away ASAP. Wrap it up in a newspaper and throw it away.
3. It is nice-to have a Flower bath:

3.2 Hope your issues are coincidental.

Further to what I had mentioned:-
1. You can read up my real life experience: "black button" incident
2. If a client specifically requests a Geomancer of his/hers to buy something e.g. a bagua mirror, no issue.

Thanks for your help. I will go to get some flowers from the temple to do a flower bath soon.
I forgot to mention more details of what transpired and how I came to be in possession of a pakua mirror. It happened like this: One dayI was walking on the road and this foreign guy who was also walking on the road stopped me and offered to look at my fortune for $10. Thinking that I coud fork out the small amount of money, I let him do what he wanted so we had an impromptu fortune-telling kneeling on the roadside there and then. Later, not contented to earn that $10, he probably decided to foist a pakua mirror on me so as to earn another $8. At that time I didnt know anything about pakua mirrors, having only started learning feng shui this year, I didnt think much of it and just kept it for about four years in my wardrobe. Thinking back also, at that time he didnt even instructed me what to do with it and simply put it in a red packet and handed it to me. However I must say the pakua looked new.
Anyway the other day I had wrapped it up in newspaper and thrown it away ever since I read about the pakua. In my haste I had discarded it down fourteen floors in the rubbish chute and it wasafter it hadbeen thrown down that I thought I could have brought it downstairs instead.
