Water Feature in NE for Period 8

Hello Mr Cecil and Mr Robert,
I've been observing this forum for a long time, but this is the 1st time I ask a question.
Hope this forum prosper more and more.
I just moved to a house with Period 8 facing SW2.
And according to Flying Star Chart, I need to put a water feature at backyard (NE) to activate the Water Star #8 there.
But I have come across some FS authors that said NE in Period 8 is not suitable with Water Features.
I have been confused with this, so how do I suppose to activate the Water Star ? Or can I ignore and just put a water features there ?
Please kindly give me ur bright words,
Thanks for your time and explanation.
Best Regards.

These are some of the considerations:
1. Yes, in theory or on paper; based on Flying Star Feng Shui; for a P8 SW2, the water star #8 is at NE (sitting position).
2. But even for Flying Star Feng Shui; it is not like one size fits all sort of thing.
3. If the back of the house is "enclosed"; it does not make sense to place a water position. Although, one may still (if one wants to) an urn; to catch rain. But make sure that it is does not become stagnant water for mosquito breeding.
4. If the home has say a 2nd storey; especially after a rain; allow the windows to be opened to refresh air/qi.
5. Sometimes water #8 can be activate by making sure that the place is bright and airy. And /or a place of activity e.g. in some homes the back of the compound is quite large and one can even have a garden santuary at say the NE location.

Thx Mr Cecil for your explanation,
If I was not wrongly interpret ur meanings.
Then my conclusion is I will try to make the sector get more lighting and airy.
And
I will use the sector more often to Activate the Water Star #8 and
don't offense the Direct Spirit Direction with a water feature.
Btw Mr Cecil,
What
do u think of the Parent String Combination that occured in my house?
Since I cannot put a water feature in the back (NE), what can I do to
activate the Parent String Combination.
Since some said that we need a mountain at front (I already had) and water at back to activate them.
Thanks for your kindly explanation,
Best Regards.

It is good that you mentioned that you already have a "mountain" at thee frontage.

I had also mentioned that there are all kinds of water. One kind is CLEAR space andd bright and airy. Yet, you keep on talking about real water.

If not sure, re_read the above and my last message, please.

Master,
Thought water in NE is not suitable as it represents the Direct Spirit (for P8)?

Given that if there is a "water star" #8 at NE; have mentioned; not appropriate to use water at the back of that home.
The emphasis was: clear space and keep the place bright and airy. And in some instances can be an activity area e.g. on the 2nd level or 3rd level (if there is one).
